It was difficult to keep at an average pace so that the mare could keep up to her but it was harder to try and move visibly. All her instincts told her to stay hidden as much as possible and low to the ground not walking around shouting here I am in open fields. Maybe it was a little exaggerated but thats what she felt like she was doing considering the mare move way to slow for her preferred pace. She was well used to the long strides of her grey not the small pony sized footsteps of a rather pudgy one, gah the things she did for him. If this worked he would owe her big time and the bird as well if he managed to remember what he was doing that is. If the birdbrain couldn't remember how to fetch she would be at a loss for words, hell you could train a canine creature to fetch and their brain was likely smaller than the birds.

Casting her sapphire eyes around cautiously as the Thistle Meadow came into view she searched for any sign of her grey and Penna. They needed to stay out of view as long as possible so their meeting would not be noticed right away. She was tempted to reach her mind out for her bonded but she resisted, that would give her away and all would be doomed to fail. Scenting the air she managed to pick up the faintest of scent from the other pair in the area, now they only had to find each other well literally run into each other. How to do it? If both Penna and herself were supposed to be injured they would both need to disappear just before the two equine met up. Well if she managed to find Penna alone she could easily swipe him down again and make a run for cover, that could prove to be some more fun. It will just be another game of cat n mouse, she thought with a villainous smirk.

In a way it was somewhat of a relief to finally be at their destination her chest and shoulder was beginning to hurt again thanks to that stupid fire horse hothead and her own blockheaded stallion for not thinking to get out of the fire. Her injuries were nothing compared his perhaps it might win him some points with the mare? Pausing for a minute to allow the mare to catch up she licked at her wounds wishing they would hurry up and heal already. As she lifted her head again she caught sight of a small clustering of trees off to one side with larger ones further back. Wait a minute, the secret grove was nearby they could easily lose the larger creatures in there and slip away unnoticed. Surely they would run into each other with such limited room to move, purrfecct! Moving forward once again she picked up her pace as she entered the treeline hoping Penna would figure out where they were.

OCC: Thought we could post one for each Kiara and Penna first? Then go into Pare and Cic?

Penna quickened his pace figuring the stud's longer legs would be able to keep up with him. He was glad all this was working, at least on his end, but now he owed that stupid kitty. Kiara was never going to let him live this down. Oh well if this really worked he wouldn't mind all that much if she really did tease him about it everyday. He cast his sharp black gaze back to the silver dappled stud. He was really burnt to a crisp, way worse than his bonded kitty. He was sure Parelia would forget most of her bad feelings when she finally saw her mate. The falcon knew were he in his soul-mate's life and he was very happy with it. He was just as loved as the foal and more so than the stud.

The bird flew up higher his sharp black eyes searching for the white pelted cat and pale furred mare. He had to know where Kiara was going to lead his mare. If they couldn't find each other all of their planning would be ruined. As the pair started to near the Secret grove he caught sight of the two females. Kiara was moving with Parelia right behind her running as if her life, or his, depended on it. Good idea kitty, we can lose them pretty easily in there. He dived quickly towards the stud and screeched before flying back into the lead and swooping into the long low hanging branches of the trees searching carefully for the cat and his mare.

A low rumbling growl was the last thing the feline uttered as she cast a last glance back to the mare before getting down to business. It was all up to the two horses now, she just needed to get away. Increasing her pace to a full out sprint she dove in and out of bushes and trees to hide herself from the mare before finally coming to a stop when she did not hear anyone behind her. Sighing with relief she finally looked around trying to find somewhere to hide out of view in case either of the horses wandered this way. Spotting a large willow with long hanging branches off to her right she immediately decided that this was where she would be hiding. Wandering over she did a walk around the entire tree once before pushing her way between the branches satisfied that there was no one else around the tree.

Flexing her claws she looked up to the higher branches before leaping onto the trunk of the tree using her sharp claws to hang onto the bark. Proceeding to leap up to a satisfactory branch where she could partially see through the canopy she perched herself here to wait for the bird. All she could hope was that this meeting would fix whatever was going on between her grey and the winged one so that she might be freed of the torturous thoughts of sheer agony her bonded felt. Glancing back towards the base of the tree she could see her claw marks embedded deep into the trees flesh. Happy with the thought she turned back to watch for the pea brained bird.

The cremello mare had been grazing away from the herd in an attempt to help heal her broken heart. Ever since she had left the falls those few weeks ago she couldn't help but feel all the pain like the sharpest hottest knife in her heart. She had never felt so miserable and broken before even after everything she had been through. Parelia sighed and chewed with her head down honey orbs closed. A sudden growl made the mare jump a few feet into the air. Her heart racing as she spun to face the sound. Powerful white and black stripped shoulders rose from the grass causing the mare to tense ready to fight. A head followed the shoulders, she half reared before she noticed the stunning blue eyes glittering at her. She threw herself down with a thud, "Kiara what are you..." She froze her heart beating faster with a new fear in her body. Feathers were sticking out of the cats mouth, Penna's feathers. Instantly she reached for their bond searching for signs of him. She could feel fear and anxiety pounding through their connection. 'Oh Gods please be ok!' She pulled her attention back to the cat in time to see her running off, and she gave chase.

After a while they made it as far as the Secret Grove causing a deep twist of pain to pierce her heart. She carried on after the Tiger running as fast as her small frame can go. Suddenly Kiara put on a burst of speed racing ahead swerving and dodging until Parelia couldn't see her anymore. In her blind panic the mare couldn't follow her scent or the smashed grass where Ciceron's bonded had run to. She squealed in her panic unable to hold back anymore. Fear for her own soul-mate the pain of losing her knight and the pain of raising a colt on her own boiled up and was being released in a wild panic she could not control. She screamed again her voice tearing at the night like Penna's talons in his prey.

Feeling rather stiff and sore from all the events over the last couple weeks the grey had decided to just try and let his beaten body rest for a little while. Lately it had been near impossible to stay anywhere for long as his mind would not let him forget about that mare. She was not just any mare, she was the one he had fallen so deeply in love with that without her here with him it felt as if he did not know how to breathe. Every thought turned into yet another painful reminder of what he had lost. He wanted his family to be by his side not living somewhere where he could not be, he wanted to be the one to help raise their son. The whole situation was tearing him to pieces inside making him not really care what else life threw at him. Between the couple spars and the incident with Aurelia his body had taken quite the beating with bruises here and slashes into his hide there. Overall he felt the pain but without his heart beating normally nothing really mattered anymore.

Trailing his long tail over his back more out of habit than anything he stood staring off into space just wishing the ground would open up and take him down. Movement drew his silver orbs back into focus as a blur of motion dropped down in front of his face. Whipping his head up and back in surprise he snorted but otherwise did not draw backwards any steps. If it was something here to hurt him so be it, let it try.

As the object slowly came into focus recognition found the bird to be Penna. Irritation was the first thing that came to mind, what was he doing here? Flicking his harks back to touch his skull he tried swatting him away with a flash of his horn and exposed teeth he turned to the side lashing his tail out, if he was here to deliver some message about Parelia he had come for no reason as he couldn't bear to listen to whatever it was. When the bird persisted further he finally gave in and turned his gaze back to the falcon. It was at this point that the clump of fur caught his attention clamped between the birds beak. That looked strangely like... Kiara.. No it couldn't be.. Reaching his mind out towards his bonded he felt nothing more than a faint lingering presence, something was not right. This was not their normal connection at all, where could she be? Was she hurt?

Panic engulfed him as he feared the worst, he had already let her down once he couldn't have done it again. He needed to find her now! Seeing Penna take off his powerful hindquarters launched him forward into a canter after him.

Soon enough the scenery changed into that of the Thistle Meadow and the borders of the Secret Grove. Why had they come here? Kiara wouldn't have come this far would she? Pushing the questions aside he continued forward into the trees trying to keep his eye on Penna which was becoming increasingly more difficult. The burnt flesh upon his neck was searing painfully in the places it had reopened from his movements but he did not care he was too concerned about Kiara. Feeling the trickle of blood drip down his neck he was finally forced to slow his pace having lost sight of the falcon. One loud call sounded from his lungs calling out but no answer came. Dammit Penna! he fumed silently pacing back and forth trying to figure out which way to go next.

It was not the cry he had been expecting, but sure enough another familiar voice echoed through the trees. "Parelia?" Surely his mind had to be messing with him, he was out here trying to find Kiara... It was just too much of a strange coincidence that he would happen to run into Parelia as well. Then again the world seemed to be out to get him lately so should it really be that much of a surprise?

Stepping forward through the trees he caught sight of the mare frantically searching for something. Where was Ilios? His heart lept with fear as he moved forward until he was only meters from the pegasus. " Parelia? Whats going on? Where is Ilios? Did something happen?" He stated fearfully his eyes whipping over the landscape all around them.

The pain and fear were splintering the slowly healing shards of her heart. She had let her one true love down, not to mention her son and bonded. How was she supposed to be a good mother when she was only half of what a foal needed to grow mentaly sound. She screamed again and bucked a few time then fell silent. She stood panting and shaking her beautiful head swinging back and forth still searching for the run away Tiger. She was so caught up in her own feelings the mare did not hear the call of her first real love. It wasn't long before she could ignore her surroundings any longer.

At his voice she froze her skin rising in goosebumps. It was like hearing the long dead saying they were going to back to be with you. The dainty mare stood her back to the stud gasping for breath. 'He... he can't be here...' She thought while hesitantly pivoting to face the voice. Bold as brass Ciceron was there looking just as frightened as she felt. All of the misgivings the heartbroken Pegasus had vanished like mist in the sun. Her body quivered like jello as honey eyes gazed over his burnt, bleeding, and beaten body. 'What happened to you my knight?' The words were supposed to be aloud, but all that came out was, ""He is safe." Tears of regret filled her warm honey eyes.

The mare could take it no longer, and launched her much smaller frame upon him. The fighter longed to press every inch of her slender frame upon him as if trying to merge her body with his. Gods had she missed him. How could she have left him to deal with that herd on his own. Instead she stopped inches before him staring up into his silver eyes so familiar to her. "Ciceron..." Her voice was a shaky whisper her body still shaking as if standing so even just a few inches from his dappled body. She waited for his move silently longing with ever fiber of her being for him to feel the same way, for him to pull her close, to love her again.

The situation unfolding around him almost seemed like a dream. Things were happening but he couldn't really process what all it actually meant. Most of these dreams commonly ended up the same, turning into just another nightmare of the recent events. Should he be turning around and heading the opposite way? This did not make any sense at all, why was Parelia here? What was going on? "He is safe." The gentle words took away his initial fears of something happening to his son but still his muscles stayed tense. Everything had put him so on edge the last couple weeks making him virtually feel like he was unable to relax even when there was no physical danger around him.

Hearing his name leave her lips he felt inclined to try and comfort his soulmate and try and take away her worries but how could he do this after everything? Did she even want him around anymore? If he went to her would she just turn him away as she had before? Pain made his heart swell making each breath a struggle, he did not know what to do.. While he wanted to pull her close and make everything just disappear he restrained himself with much difficulty not wanting to make things worse between them. He had longed every day they had been apart for things to go back to the way they were. He had missed them so much it hurt to think about.

"Pare.lia.. I.. I don't understand..." He managed softly his voice hollow and lost in the dead silence around them. The sentence had meant to be much more but he found himself struggling for words as he fought back the pain within. He wanted to tell her everything was alright and not to worry but that would be a lie considering he couldn't believe it himself. Why was she so upset? It was killing him to not be able to draw her close like old times, to love her like she was supposed to be, to be a father to his son.. His eyes couldn't leave her face fearing she would disappear and he would have to realize this was really all in his head.

"What's wrong? You are upset.." His question finally managed to take form as his mind slowly recovered from such a shock of running into his love again. He did not know where things would go from here but the one thing he did know was he couldn't just turn his back on them. With this acceptance in himself he flinched away from the throbbing pain shooting through his macerated flesh upon his shoulder and neck. By the feeling of it there was likely blood staining much of the area by now, it would eventually stop and scab over again..

----------------------------------------------------------------

It was taking much restraint for the tigress to stay put in her hiding spot when she wanted to force her bonded to do something about his wounds. She had left him for less than twelve hours and he had managed to hurt himself more! They would eventually have to show themselves to the two lovebirds but it was too soon, she could still feel the sorrow through their bond. Just make it go away.. Shaking her head she turned to pacing back and forth along the branch she was perched upon trying to be patient with her bonded. How did he expect her to be patient when he goes and does who knows what to himself. Growling her displeasure she sighed before making herself sit in one place. It was hard enough trying to hide her presence from his mind, this was just making it harder.

Her knight was here, but why? What had happened that they both happened to be here, and where was Penna? She reached carefully with her mind to Penna in search of his mind. She was greeted with a flimsy wall, and she pressed her mental thoughts against it trying to push it down. It worked there was almost a snap to be heard within her head. Images flooded her mind Kiara pulling hairs his mad dash to Ciceron with the hair. ’Oh Penna... Thank you my guardian.' She could feel his relief at avoiding her anger. The mare turned all of her raging emotions back to her mate, her second soul. He was confused that was very clear in his tense muscles and words. Ears pricked as eyes trailed over his large warm face. It suddenly struck her that he was not right. He was covered in blood, burns and cuts a like. ""Ciceron you are hurt! What happened to you?" She held back slightly from her true feelings. What if he didn't feel the same about her as he once had. Feelings flooded her once again compelling her to move closer to reach out. Extending her dainty muzzle trying to touch his own handsome mug. Even after all the heartache and leaving she still adored him. He was on a pedestal that could never be taken down or replaced.

Tender nostrils flared drawing in his musky, yet coppery scent. "I know why we both are here. It would seem we have had some... outside help to meet." She looked towards the sky once more thanking her bonded for his interference. "Penna and Kiara staged this to get us together. I assume they did this to try and help us were apparently couldn't help ourselves." She gazed up into his familiar warm eyes. It was incredible how just his presence could calm her, take away her fears and pain. He really was the second half of her. How is it she could feel so strongly about this stud and her handsome falcon? It was a very different kind of love she felt for the Knight than Penna.

His words drew her back making her tail flick slightly out of nerves. "I am upset because, I..." Her voice faltered as she allowed her mask to drop from her face. Her emotions would be easy enough for him to read anyway. "I miss you more than I have ever missed anything Ciceron. You have always and will always be my everything. Even if you can't stand mmmme any mmmore at least think of your son." Soft eyes fell to the grass at her hooves before rising to his again. She had said her piece, now she must wait for him to speak his. Even though watching his suffering was killing her bleeding heart. Once he had spoken she would beg for him to return with her. To have Aly or someone heal and accept him, so their family could be whole once more.
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------

It had taken the falcon a while to find the cat, because he had stopped to fetch something. Where is that annoying kitty at? He kept his present clutched tightly within his sharp talons. The cat's crispy scent wafted up from a tree he had been flying past. Ah, so that's where she is hiding! He thought triumphantly as the falcon swooped low and dived gracefully into the weeping willow. She was below him pacing, just as nervous as he was. He cooed softly down before lowering his feathered body closer to hers. He stood awkwardly on one leg his prize clutched tightly in his left scaly foot. As the cat once more lowered her hindquarters to the branch, he extended his sharp black daggers and dropped his present. A plump dove with very minamal damage to it. A swift grab and puncturing of the neck had taken it's life swiftly. Carefully the bird nudged the warm prey towards Kiara. She might not realize it, but it was his way of saying thank you for the help.

He was not able to feel satisfied, at that moment Parelia was calling his mind. His sharp yellow beak clicked trying to fight her with only half of his heart. The wall he had built crumbled easily against her prodding. He had no choice in allowing his soul-mate in. Images flashed through their minds. Fear gripped his strong chest, how angry would his sweet winged mare be with him? He waited to feel her rage, but she surprised him with her kind heart. She was thankful for his plans. The feelings she ahd for him only drew their bond stronger.

When it came to the world of love and disaster no one would ever figure out how it functioned. One could guess but then no sooner it would prove you wrong leaving you right back where you started. Gazing over his painted lady he couldn't be angry with her for what had happened between them, he might not understand but the outcome was all still the same. Deep down he felt that he should be angry but it was not in his nature to let such deep carnal emotions seep into his personality. Over the last weeks he couldn't exactly say what all had happened to him for he had been walking around lost in his own grief. Every moment that he could remember was heavily clouded making even those encounters difficult to remember. The only memory that did seem to stand out was Aurelia's attack upon the Falls. It was the one place he had managed to let Kiara down failing to protect her from the mares fire, granted it was how he had gotten the burns over himself but those were of insignificance.

"Ciceron you are hurt! What happened to you?" Hearing his name once again from Parelia's mouth still shocked his senses from the daze he had been under. It was almost all too much for him to take all at once, her scent, her presence, the sound of her voice it was testing what little restraint he could manage. The worry upon her face softened his posture slightly as he lowered his head to a more reasonable level. "It's nothing to worry about, I am fine." He said gently reaching his muzzle forward with a little hesitance to touch his fae's. Inhaling deeply was out of the question for he was scared he would subcumb to the euphoria he felt whenever he was with his mate. There would never be another that made him feel the same way for as long as he lived.

The warmth of her touch made all his nerves quiver with electricity making him crave more. The distance between them was too much to bear even though it was no more than a couple inches. . "I miss you more than I have ever missed anything Ciceron. You have always and will always be my everything. Even if you can't stand mmmme any mmmore at least think of your son." With these final words the last of his restraint shattered into a million pieces. He was in disbelief that she would ever think something such as this, could she not see how much all this staying away was killing him? Stepping forward he lifted his head to curl it over his lover's neck drawing her to him so no distance remained. Inhaling with some difficulty he fought to control his overwhelmed emotions as he was flooded with longing to never move from this spot again. The feel of her skin against his was the first comfort he had felt since the day they had left one another.

"Staying away has been the hardest thing I have ever done. Never say such things again for I will always love you regardless of what happens." The words were difficult to say but when he had he felt as if thousands of pounds had been lifted from his shoulders. Despite the protests from the side of his neck he stayed holding Parelia tightly against him never wanting to let go again. Thankfully the injured side of himself was away from Parelia to avoid getting any blood on her perfect frame or wings. Moving his muzzle over her skin he greedily took in her familiar scent and feel as he groomed her coat to give his mind something to focus on other than what his gender tendencies were trying to focus on.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Flicking her head to the treetops as rustling leaves drew her attention she watched as Penna finally arrived. It was about time, you would think flying would make one faster. Her curiosity perked as the smell of death drifted towards her. Watching as the dead dove was tossed towards her she tilted her head wondering what was up, was this for her? This was definitely a first for her, a bird bringing her a dead bird... a little odd but still. A grateful chuff escaped her throat as she crouched over the dove sniffing at it for a moment before starting to try and de-feather the carcass. This was always the part she hated the most about birds, there were always too many pesky feathers to rip off before you could get to the good part.

After a little work she finally got it to an acceptable product before she dug in easily crushing the fragile bones between her teeth. Leaving a portion of meat unfinished she nosed it towards the falcon with a purr, she figured she should share it to be nice. Sitting up again she lifted her paw to her face, licking it before proceeding to wash her face off. Eventually they would have to head back to their bonded, but she figured they might as well spend sometime together to make sure things were back to normal. Plus it would give them a chance to get any lovey stuff there might be over with before they returned.

Parelia watched her knight concern written on every dainty feature. What had he been doing since she had left in order to be in such a terrible state? He was bleeding right in front of her and she had no idea whatsoever on how to help him, how to make is pain go away. It was killing her almost as much as the time she had made the horrible choice of leaving her mate. ’If I hadn't left him he would not be like this.' Pain stabbed at her heart the pain of battle was not even close to the pain of seeing her beloved so physically broken. Clearly her life had been easy compared to his since she had left with their son. Now that her son was older, he would have to meet his father. No male could be brought up right without a father, especially as great a stallion as Ciceron teaching him. At that thought she could see the two standing side by side, Ilios grown proud and strong, yet merciful and kind like her knight. ’I have to figure out a way to get him to come home, to be with us.' Determination flared like the magic fire she could conjure within her heart. He would come with her even if she had to roast his butt all the way there and keep him on the flame for the rest of his life. ’Surely I can get him to that conclusion without harming him more.' The bleeding heart didn't have to think on that for long. Healing was the way to bring him home, the way to get him to stay with her was to show him the wonderful herd she had in the Edge.

He seemed to come out of whatever ill thoughts he was having as she spoke his name. As his head lowered and extended she greeted it without hesitation, almost a little to vigorously she bumped her nose against his soaking up his warmth and scent. He was hers and he would always be she knew that, but fear had grown in her kind heart; fear that he would have moved on. Shoving the evil thought away she just stood with her muzzle against his enjoying everything that was her knight as if it would be the last time she would ever see him. Her voice shook slightly as she struggled to control the tide wave of emotions, "I'm sorry for how I left Ciceron. I should have calmed down before I spoke. I was rash and mean, and for that I am deeply sorry." Parelia named justly, fighter, had a side that would always put others first, even if she would have to fight them later on.

After what seemed like eons the silver knight held her. As she pressed her small frame against his all her fears melted with his love and heat. He was her other half, he was, well, everything she was not and she loved it. The time away had taken it's toll on her; if it had been for his son she would have stopped eating, would have faded away to nothing. Sending a silent prayer of thanks to the god she soaked up his words, locking them into her memory. These words would keep her going through the roughest of times, whether she knew that yet or not. The cremello copied his movements like a mirror, holding onto his strong young body grooming away the dirt from his broken pelt, careful to be gentle with him. Odd as it might be she found it funny to be taking such tentative care with her mighty warrior. As she cleaned away both their fears she thought on how to approach the subject. As her soft voice left her lips she paused letting her muzzle rest against his shoulder, "Ciceron, my love, please allow me to take you to the World's Edge, even if you feel you can't stay, I would like for you to meet my friends and be healed." Taking a deep breath she continued, "While you're there I know a little stallion that would love to see his daddy." She let it rest there allowing him to take in her words, hoping he would not see the plan behind these simple words. She hopped beyond hope that he would have picked up the few words she had picked ever so carefully, friends, love, allow, can't stay, little stallion, and most importantly; daddy.

It had been so long since he had felt warmth enter his heart, felt the touch of another on his skin that was not trying to rip him to pieces, and most importantly felt whole again. The moment that Parelia had walked away was the day that his world stopped turning. Things became meaningless, time passed without purpose. His heart had fallen cold and he was just a passenger in this game of life. Nothing had mattered to the stallion in the weeks that preceded today hence the reason so many wounds littered his muscular frame. Each wound was a way of him trying to cope, trying to block out the deafening pain that made him want to die. Now that things seemed to have turned a corner between his love and himself things carried hope for a future where he existed.

Silently he wondered how his son was doing as he had not seen him in a number of weeks. It had been painful not to get the chance to watch as his son grow up and made him feel as if he had failed not only as a mate but also as a father. The words of his own father haunted him daily making him question his ability to raise anyone other than himself. Things were just so confusing and uncertain making it hard to figure out what was the correct path for him to follow. What did this mean between himself and Parelia? He was doubtful that she would ever return to the Falls so where did that leave them?

"I'm sorry for how I left Ciceron. I should have calmed down before I spoke. I was rash and mean, and for that I am deeply sorry.”
Listening quietly as his mare spoke made his heart twist. “It is not your fault.” He replied quietly not wanting to move an inch. “Everything is my fault. I am the failure.” His silent additions to the conversation made things all come back to him, making him regret not doing more to fix things before they had walked away. Sighing softly he tried to brush off the depression brought along by his recollections. Spasms in his torn muscles made him tense up and straighten his neck slightly trying to relieve the pain. He could still feel the thin lines of hot crimson trickling down his shoulder but again he ignored it as he turned back to Parelia. He deserved the wounds that had been inflicted upon him, a small price to pay given his many failures.

As the burning questions finally came forth he knew there was no putting off responding but to be honest he did not know how to respond. She was asking him to leave the Falls where he had given his word to protect and go somewhere unknown. Could he essentially abandon his duties as Praetor and just leave? He wanted to be with his family but in a sense both places where his family, the falls was his adoptive family while Parelia and Ilios were his true blood family. The decision was difficult to make but somehow he knew what he needed to do despite how difficult it would be. “Your home will not allow me to enter their borders. To them I am only an intruder… I have not spoken with Midas about leaving..” The words were difficult to conjure up but his decision had been made. He would need to leave the Falls if he was to ever be happy though he was not looking forward to the impending conversation with Midas. “ I will still come if you would like me to but I must leave again shortly afterwards. I doubt I will be welcomed by the Edge being still associated with the Falls. I would like to see Ilios though but I do not need healed it will heal eventually.” He replied finally ignoring the burning spasms lashing out through the deep wounds.

Parelia leaned against Ciceron enjoying ever second of his touch. This was the best the cremello mare had felt in weeks even with her lively son the silver knight was what she really longed for. Parelia did love her colt, more than most things, but Ciceron was a feather farther a head. That being said she knew she would give her life and Ciceron's to protect her baby boy. Shaking the nasty thoughts from her head she pressed her chiseled face against his warm shoulder. This was her chance, maybe her last to get him to come be a family again. Her chest felt tight like it was in a vice keeping her from breathing easily until he replied. Shaking her small head at his words the mare sighed heavily her sides heaving. ""It is my fault Ciceron. I know there is no way I can make up for what I did to all five of us." Her small ears drooped slightly as she thought back to the few weeks before she had given birth to Ilios. A sudden idea came to her mind her voice was excited, "Stay here for a second I'll be right back!" Smiling brightly she rubbed her head on him once more before cantering off. Her bright eyes gazed around carefully searching for the plant she needed to help him.

Once she found it she plucked a few leaves and head back to him. Skidding to a stop in front of him she dropped the leaves at his large hooves. Her voice was warm, "This is yarrow and it helps with bleeding. I wont take no for an answer mister." She smiled playfully up at him before adding something else, "It might sting a little ok?" Lowering her arched neck she carefully picked a few of the leaves and chewed them up grimacing at the bitter taste. Once she was sure they were nice and chewed up she moved over to his injured side and carefully spit them onto the worst parts of his bleeding wounds. Using her soft muzzle the gentle moved the pulp around trying to be as nice as possible so she wouldn't hurt him anymore. Satisfied with her work she stepped back, ""I'm no healer but my friend Brisa taught me about this plant." Moving back to his uninjured side she nuzzled against him once more.

Pulling her wings tight against her slender frame she waited on the edge of a cliff for his answer to her suggestion. Heart pounding she listened carefully taking in ever word he had to say. She waited quietly until he was completely done speaking. "Oh Ciceron, Ilios will love to see you again. I'm sure that my herd will not deny you the chance to see your son and where he is growing up. We are a peaceful herd." She hoped that her words would not be proved wrong. Silently she called for Penna, since their plan had worked it was time to take her knight home, even if just for a little. "I know why we're both here, I think we need to thank out bonded for this meeting." She smiled playfully as she moved away and turned for the World's Edge.

Penna sat quietly with the cat waiting and hoping it would have worked out, and by the feeling Parelia was having he could tell it was going good. Her call sent set his heart alight. He cooed happily to Kiara and playfully swiped a wing at her white striped pelt. It was time to return to their soul-mates. He took to the air flying lower ofer her head before leavign the trees calling to the cat as he went.

While the thought of leaving the herd he had known for the entirety of his Helovian life had crossed his mind on numerous occasions it was hard to decide what his definitive answer would be. Either he could leave and be with his family where his heart felt most secure or he could refuse to leave and lose his family again. Was there no happy medium between the two? Ideally he would like to stay with the Hidden Falls but if there was a way that he could stay with Parelia and Ilios in the Edge until he was needed elsewhere... The thought of the alliance pacts came to mind, where did the two herds stand anyway? Perhaps this might be something to look into before he went and made any life changing decisions. Yes he would have to find Midas and Seele and inquire about how the two herds stood, maybe they could be allies.

Listening to his mate blaming herself made him feel sick. How could she think that it was her fault in anyway?!? It was completely his fault and she could argue with him all she wanted but that was not going to change. Like father..like son... Shaking his head at the whispered words of his father he tried to banish them from his mind. He was not like him! He couldn't be, or else that would mean... NO! It was not possible!

Just before he was able to open his mouth to respond to the absurd comments Parelia pulled away and wandered into the brush. What was she doing? Confused as to what had just happened he remained standing where she had left him to await her return. A minute or two later his mate returns with a couple leaves clutched between her teeth and proceeds to chew them before spitting them onto his burns. Cringing away from the pain the oils cause as it bites into his open wound he raises his head in protest. Whatever this so called yarrow thing was he did not want it eating a hole into his neck, plus it did not smell all that great. Wrinkling his nose at the pungent odor he sidestepped trying to dislodge whatever was being put on him but not fully pulling away. He knew that Pare was just trying to help and he did not want to hurt her feelings so he put up with it unwillingly until she finished and stepped back to admire her work.

Raising an eyebrow he looked over to her in disbelief that she had just spat some nasty smelling leaves into his wound. The stinging persisted making his skin twitch in irritation. While he was no stranger to pain and discomfort the stinging pain was not comfortable in the slightest and the only thought on his mind was getting the crap off of himself. Perhaps whatever it was would work to help but could it not sting and smell? Snorting in mild disgust he sighed knowing this was not going to stay on for long. "I'm sure your friend and you know what your talking about but I do not need that all over me. It will heal on its own eventually." He protested not caring if he sounded like a child at that moment as he continued to cringe away from the feeling of the oil and other junk on his neck.

Hearing the rest of what was spoken his mind could only really think about making the stuff disappear. Yes he would have to thank Kiara eventually when he got over being upset with her for making him think something had happened to her. Stubbornly he prodded at the barrier that she continued to hold up against his mind just to see if she would respond. They were both stubborn as hell but loved each other dearly despite the random silent bickering between them. Seeing his mate move off towards the Edge he took the chance to shake his head and neck as he sidestepped to shake loose the green crud that had begun to mix with the blood already there to form some nasty brownish coloured blobs. He would rather let his flesh heal on its own as that stuff just downright stunk.

Satisfied when most had been shaken off he turned to follow his mate wondering what would be in store when they arrived at the Edge. Kiara would follow eventually, so he did not worry too much.

Kiara flicked her tail from side to side as she waited for her bonded and the painted woman to make up. It was taking them long enough, like really just suck it up and be happy again. When she felt the half annoyed prods against her consciousness she knew that it was time to leave. Why give him the satisfaction of knowing she was alright when he already knew it deep down. Smirking she managed to withhold her weakened barrier until her stubborn grey finally gave up. Watching Penna as he eagerly took flight to rejoin the pair she sat for another moment or two taking her own time before slowly climbing down the tree and sauntering lazily in their general direction.
