Quil was not the only one feeling particularly irritable. Phaedra, was apparently off of her game. When had she gotten so bad at sneaking up on people? How that damned pink mare knew she was there, Phae would never know. With one ear, even! Perhaps she had gotten lazy, with the magic gifted to her by Ophelia. The ability to move silently was a power that Phaedra pined for, now that it was gone. Her footsteps felt loud and awkward, even though her petite hooves barely made a noise. She had gotten lazy, and sloppy, and that screechy harpy had woken up. She hadn't wanted to hurt her. Only to steal that pretty necklace. She had heard a rumor that it projected emotions to Quilyan, when she had been Queen of the Foothillls. Now that she had returned to Helovia, she found herself thinking more and more about him....about those carefree days in the woods...bodies swaying carelessly, the warmth of a strangers touch...Quil's charm. It was likely those memories that caused the Opulent to think of that necklace. Would it project his emotions back to her, if she had it? Even if it didn't, that wasn't really the type of projection of his that she had in mind, anyways.

But it hadn't worked.

The trees through which she walked now, were not nearly as thick as those under which the golden pair had met for the first time, but they were dense enough to block the rain. STORRRMMMM Stella playful trilled as she glided in between the trees. Her body frizzled and sparked with electricity, as she danced about as if she too were a thundercloud. Phaedra smiled brightly at the antics of her bonded, happy to have the creature faithfully by her side.

As she moved - not quite as soundlessly as she might have liked - she thought she saw a flash of gold, between the trees. However a moment later it was gone. But then - ah! There it was again, a little farther. Then gone, then...back again? As Phae neared, she began to realize that who it was, they were pacing. The build seemed to suggest a male but...well, Phaedra had met some very ... er...muscley mares during her days in the Foothills. Still...

Phaedra drew her neck upwards, so that the curvacious swell of her crest was exemplified. Her creamy mane danced to her shoulders with the movement, sparkling with the magic bestowed to her by the Moon Bitch's bear. It was as if the stars had shattered, falling and catching in her creamy locks. Her wings hugged her lithe flanks, but did not block the alluring and quaint bird-catcher spots that dotted her shoulders, neck and beside her eyes. Moving towards the pacing creature - a pegasus she could now see - Phaedra ensured each step was graceful and delicate - a stride that she had mastered long ago. Closer now, she let an audible gasp. It...it couldn't be. In all the seasons since they had seen each other, he was here now? Wonderful! She didn't need that stupid necklace after all.

Suddenly, that afternoon in the woods came rushing back to her - and the frustration at Res's having once again spoiled her plans, dissipated immediately. She felt lighter - as if the years of leading, of being a mother to Rae and Ru, and everything that had happened in between, were suddenly gone. She was carefree and careless again in the woods, with a handsome boy, only this time, there was no one else to bother them.

"Hey sugar-" She called, her voice awash with flirty singsong tones. Her gaze sparkled as it fell upon him - he was older now, but then again so was she. But that wasn't the only thing that sparkled. Unable to help herself, Phaedra allowed her magic to bubble to the surface. Inside her breast, she felt what would only be described as heat, and pink. Her coat glistened brilliantly, as if cut from an opal or a diamond, yet appeared just as soft and lean as it had before. She was sure she wouldn't need her magic with him, what with his being with that harpy and all. Perhaps that was why he was out here - needing to get away from the little pink train wreck.

Well, she'd make things interesting for him.

"-miss me?"

[UHM I'M SORRY. I KNOW WE'RE GOING QUICK. I COULDN'T HELP IT.]
