For any Edgers who wants to cry and worry about the fighters in the invasion!
War; a thing devastating for all parties. Blood, pain and death follows in the wake of a battle. Orphaned children crying over their slain parents, mates swearing to revenge their murdered loves, hate building in young hearts, dark fingers gripping after the souls of the herdmembers standing on the sideline. War; a thing devastating for all parties but maybe hardest on them who are forced to watch their loved ones bleed and suffer.
The young prince was standing not too far from the bloodbath. He could hear the roars of pain, smell the blood and burnt flesh, he could even see flashes of the battle between the trees. He was frozen in place by the horror. His dual colored eyes wet with tears and his heart pounding with fear and hatred. He’s seen his proud sire catch fire and stoop to the ground. He’s seen the red-maned mare he once met get thrown down on the damp grass and he’s seen the black form of Psyche attacked by a flying menace as well as stabbed after by a white steed. It was too much for his young eyes, but he could not move, nor could he look away. Blood splattered and fire roared before the young colt and his tears found their way out of his eyes. With salty drops running down his face the boy with the lynx pelt reared up and threw his head back. A sorrowful call rose from his throat and his youthful voice echoed between the trees. He pleaded, prayed and hoped. Cursed, condemned and despised. Please don’t kill my father! his mind screamed. Why are you here? Why are you hurting us like this?! GO AWAY! Tamlin’s little hooves found the ground again and he kept watching the horror, sobbing, but in him something grew; a black fire of hate. Hate towards the pegasi and equines, hate towards the unicorns fighting against his father. I want to see all you traitors dead! |
