Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

The painted mare was excited that her silver knight had at least agreed to visit her new home. The World's Edge was her most favorite place in the whole of Helovia. Smiling brightly she trotted beside her love, hopefully this was a step in the right direction. Her flickering flame of hope was now blazing devouring the candle on which it sat; that her love would join the Edge. If she was lucky the whoever came to meet them would be receptive to her silver and ivy marked knight. Everything was ridding on this moment, the moment he would decide if he could stand living with her family. "Maybe Aly will meet us.' She had yet to really meet anyone else, but luck might be on her side. They were making good time and as the sun slipped pasted it's highest point the pair, and their bonded were almost there. Her happy voice bubbled forth, "We're almost to the Edge, close to where I left Ilios too." Smiling brightly she playfully flicked her tail towards his uninjured side before picking up speed cantering smoothly as joy engulfed her athletic frame.
After a short time they were finally at the border; Parelia slide to a stop her hindquarters rolling easily under her winged body. Unable to help herself the mare called proudly her Arabian head and tail high pride pounding through her veins. This was a home she could be proud of, much like she had been proud of the Windtossed Foothills before it changed to the Hidden Falls. Shoving the thought away she turned to her knight, but not before a young squeal announced their foal was near. "Sounds like our boy will be here shortly." her voice was warm and happy. This was ranked with some of the best days in her life. Stepping towards Ciceron she tried to press her smooth velvety muzzle against his powerful neck, careful to touch the whole side.
As she pulled away Ilios's young voice sounded again speaking this time, "Welcome home Mother!" Pivoting easily she faced the golden and teal colt. He was running head long for her when he spotted the large steel male behind her. Pulling up short the colt stumbled and skidded on a crash course with his father. It would be a miracle if the colt missed the stallion's uninjured side. "Ilios be careful sweetheart! Are you ok?" Moving forward quickly the mare proceeded to sniff over the young male as he struggled to pull himself up. Once he was standing he shook his body sending a cloud of dust into the warm afternoon air. "I'm fine Mom." He smiled half-heartedly trying to shake her off. The colt stepped away from the stallion as Penna landed carefully on his withers crooning softly.

OOC: Not to many people please! Sarah if your to busy no worries!
Gritting his teeth together as he pushed his aching muscles forward into a trot he kept pace with Parelia unsure of what would be in store for them when they arrived upon the Edge's borders. Would things turn out as his love said or would he be forced to leave? Guess they would have to wait and see. Trotting along he tried his best to keep his front leg from dragging too much as the pain continued to burn through his severed muscle and along the burn tracts. Maybe no one would notice the limp he thought trying to be hopeful so that he would not cause any worry to the lovely painted pegasus moving along so gracefully just up ahead of him. It was a long shot but you never knew there was always the thought.
Just a Parelia announced that they were close to the border of her homeland the scent of salt hit his nostrils and the swish of water could be heard in the distance. The land beside the sea, a rather large stretch from the sanctuary of the Falls but it had its own beauty as well. Gratefully slowing his pace he stopped alongside Parelia reaching his muzzle forward to touch her neck. "It will be good to see him again, I have missed you both." Her call was answered by a familiar one making his heart surge with joy and happiness as his son appeared before them. Wickering gently to his boy in greeting he waited with anticipation for him to approach not wanting to step over the border and cause any issues. A breath caught in his throat as Ilios stumbled sending him down into his right shoulder making the impact cloud his vision briefly as pain shot through his frame. Reaching out his head he tried to steady Ilios as he fell keeping in mind where his horn was at all times so not to accidently pierce anyone with it. Ignoring his own pain he shifted sideways to give Ilios room to get himself upright hoping that he was alright.
Lowering his head in concern he withheld his touch as he watched Parelia move in to poke at him with concern. Sighing in relief as the announcement came that all was well he finally felt the gentle warm of Kiara's mind against his again. Lifting his head in response his gaze fell to the striped feline slowly making her way towards them, a bemused expression on her face. Sauntering up casually she locked her blue orbs with his silver ones in a silent conversation before her eyes caught sight of the nasty wounds over his neck and shoulder that persisted to bleed.
Growling in displeasure she sat down in the grass flicking her tail in anger and annoyance. Why was her grey so careless? She was gone all of a day or so and this is what she comes back to! If the female was not going to do anything about it she sure as hell was going to before he died of infection that she could already smell from it. She would drag him down if she had to and lick it clean herself if there wasn't another option.

Alysanne
A familiar call followed by a familiar squeal completely caught Alysanne’s attention as she was making her way to the border of the Edge, having a mind to go out and do a bit of touring of Helovia today. Maybe she would meet some new friends! Hemlock had expressed some desire to hunt elsewhere, somewhere a little easier - maybe some mice in the wide thistle meadow.
But those tasty little mice were just going to have to wait a little longer, because his bonded changed her direction when emerald eyes spotted the group. The young owl, now without any of the downy feathers that had dominated his body the last time they had spoken, grumbled but did not protest - had he been asleep in Alysanne's wings the last time they had spoken? He thought he would have remembered the mother and son pair - and the hawk companion.
“Parelia! Ilios!” Alysanne called out to the pair, a bright smile instantly taking over her face as she recognized the delightful family that she had welcomed to the Edge not so very long ago. Ilios was growing more and more every day - before long he would be as big as his mother! What an absolute delight to know so many friends that were having foals - she so sorely missed having them in her life. The familiar pang in her heart gave a squeeze but the presence of her friends, and a new stranger!, was the perfect distraction. Coming to a stop before the group, Alysanne greeted them with a grin while Hemlock offered an indifferent hoot. “I’ve been hoping to run into you two again, wanted to see how you were getting along here.”
But then her attention turned to the unicorn stallion that had accompanied them. Was this the mate she had mentioned? “And hello! Oh dear, are you alright?” Concern, genuine and consuming, took over her features from the smile that had brightened it just moments ago. “I’m Alysanne, one of the Moon Doctors here. I can help you if you wish.” Well she wouldn’t force any method of healing on him if he was going for a specific look but now that she was here, she wasn’t likely to leave without helping somehow. Even if it meant finding someone else who was a little more experienced.

Honey eyes gazed over the border in front of her the mist ever rolling over the emerald grass. His simple words draw her eyes back towards him. Pain shatters her heart again and pulls her body to his like a magnet. Her voice is low and broken, "Oh Ciceron we miss you too..." Carefully the tiny mare attempts to rub her dainty chiseled head against his massive chest. How had she survived away from him so long? What would she do if he left her again, and what in the God's names was she going to say to Ilios if Ciceron did leave? He was old enough now that she couldn't just pretend his father didn't exist. Sighing heavily she carefully pulled away as their son came hurtling towards them.
The cremello and teal mare smiled softly watching her two men together as Ilios pulled away from her prodding muzzle. The two males were so similar it was crazy. She could already see her son would grown taller than herself, taking after his father's build. He even had his father's silver eyes and ivy like markings. The golden colt watched his father quietly he wondered vaguely why he didn't reach out like his mother did. His small nubby head slowly reached out towards the silver stallion. A small nervous smile spread over his face as the thought about their, hopefully secret, last meeting. His young voice squeaked from his lunges, "Hello Father it's good to see you." His smile grew as he gazed calmly up at his dad.
Parelia's smile had soft and slight, until she heard the voice her hope longed to hear. Spinning quickly the cremello called happily to her white and black friend. Her voice bubbled forth as Alysanne neared them, "We're doing great Aly thank you." Ilios turned his attention towards the healer his smile bright had excited, "Miss Alysanne this is my Father, Ciceron." The pride in his voice was unmistakable as he stood straighter next to the large silver stallion.
AS the doctor turned her attention towards Ciceron's wounds it was Parelia's turn to lift her breast with pride, "I put yarrow on him already, but I think he rather suffer in silence." She smirked teasingly at her mate before speaking again, "Even though he is limping." She turned her head slightly towards him watching him from the corner of her honey orbs. Ilios turned towards CIceron concern on his young ivy marked face, "Father please let miss Alysanne help you." Parelia turned her neck towards the two beside her gazing fiercely at her two knights, one in gold one if silver.

It didn't take a mind reader to tell that Kiara was not happy with the sight of his injuries. Her glare was enough to say everything and it was likely only thanks to Parelia and Ilios that she did not cause a scene about the whole thing. Racking his silver eyes over her feline frame his eyes lingered on the couple patches of red blistered burns upon her body. He absolutely hated himself for letting her get hurt in such a way, he should have known better. "Kiara I'm so sorry." While he knew for a fact that she had understood what he had said she remained silent choosing to ignore the fact that her injuries existed like a typical feline. They both seemed to share that stubbornness but it really got them no where in the end.
Turning his head back to his son he was pleased to see that he did not run from him after all this time of them being apart. Reaching his own muzzle out to meet Ilios's he bumped him affectionately inhaling his familiar scent as he admired the ivy markings that adorned his body much similar to those of his own. " As to you Ilios." He commented with a knowing smirk. He had been fortunate enough to have run into his son once during the time that Parelia and himself had been apart. It had been a nice surprise during a time where he had felt so much darkness.
A new voice drew his attention back to their surroundings as he drew his head up once more causing much discomfort to his throbbing neck. It was a painted mare that approached happily greeting his son and his mate, this must be one of their friends they had spoken of he figured. Nodding his head politely in greeting only as much as he dared he listened patiently while introductions were made surprisingly by Ilios. Before he could chip in his two cents the topic turned to his injuries to his dismay. Why did no one believe him that it really was not that bad? It would heal...eventually. Moving his silver gaze over to Parelia as she spoke he raised and eye to her remarks before his son turned to speak again. Well so much for declining the offer... how could he when his son was asking him to get it looked at?
Sighing in defeat he could see no ways to get out of this again meaning he would have to give up trying. Yes it was deep, and bleeding, and extremely painful but that did not mean it would not heal on its own. " It is nice to meet you miss. It's really not that bad..but you can take a look if you didn't mind." Amusement was easy to sense through his bond with Kiara at him finally getting trapped into accepting help. She was hesitant to allow the stranger to get too close out of lack of trust but if she was going to help him she guessed she would allow it. Every step the mare took Kiara was watching protectively as she remained laying in the grass nearby. "Stop staring at her like that! You are going to make her think you want to eat her." He chided silently with a sideways glare in her direction.
