Cirrus
the Wind Dancer
You are lost no longer, Cirrus.
His words fill me. From the moment his deep, resonant voice begins to address me, I feel fulfilled, and I want to allow myself to stay that way, to really believe him - his light and fire burns away whatever doubt I held within me, and for the first time in what felt like a lifetime, I was not lost.
I rode on the sense of fulfilment he gave me. He addressed others all around me, and I could not help but simply smile, even as his temper burned all around us, even as he otherwise ignored my presence after he announced that I was no longer lost.
No longer lost.
It was amazing, the effect it had upon me, almost immediately. Though others had tried, it seemed only the words of a God could truly uplift me. I didn't know how long the effects would last, if they would be permanent, or if they would fade as soon as his magnificent frame was out of my sight.
My eyes travel over the other individuals that he blesses (or burns), vaguely aware of what they look like, where they might hail from. Some I even recognise - the pale, crimson-trimmed girl with a silver dragon seems to tug at my memories. I wasn't sure if I knew her directly or perhaps someone very much like her.
I recognise the large tribrid, Hector, from my homeland. I remember him training with my father. I smile at the memory, and I am filled with a sense of loss, but suddenly, there seemed to be a solution to that sensation of missing out on something.
I could go home.
The Lord of the Sun encourages many to join his herdland, and while he does not extend the invitation directly to me, I wonder fully and properly, the possibility that I might too, return home. The smile upon m face turns to one of amusement as a mare dares to talk back to him, though I give no indication to my thoughts besides a slightly more devious smirk.
"Thank you," I murmur, quietly, more to myself then to the Lord, though I know he will hear it, feel it - he hears and feels everything after all. With my hide full with his glow - and rimmed by my own magic that pleased him so - I push myself forward, dipping my broad wings towards him in a pegasus' salute, before beginning a journey that is decidedly southern in destination.
