Ophelia the Forsaken
Ophelia observed the scene around her in quiet, not sure if this was a dream still or not. She hoped not. She hoped that with all of this redemption she was experiencing with her sister and Roskuld that this moment with the God of the Sun would follow suit. Would she be forgiven, not forsaken? She watched his ire flame at the multi-colored mare who had asked about Osiris, wondering what she wanted with her friend. Then, she listened to the kind way in which he regarded Hector. What interested her the most, however, was the quest he gave to Sheba. She was not surprised, only interested. The God of the Sun was particularly adept and making sure that you fully understood the gravity of what you asked. To turn such a beautiful mare into something less attractive, to have to fully rely on her words without power? Well, that was difficult, but in the end, would it not make her exponentially more powerful at her desired art of persuasion? Certainly that was what he meant by "altered". The Forsaken's gaze was fully focused on the god, hanging on his words and observing his movements. Two years had past since she had been able to carefully study the unchanging figure of the Sun. He was still beautiful, full of life, and the only immortal who seemed young despite his age. Perhaps this is what drew her to him in the first place, given that she had never felt young with her memories. So, when he spoke to her, golden eyes meeting hers only to tell her that someone else wanted her attention, she furrowed her brows. Ophelia's dual colored gaze shifted to lock onto the figure of a boy who plucked a memory from her mind. He had one yellow and one green eye and strange, red and black markings around his neck. Such a child was not easily forgotten, especially not from her mind. But why did he want to speak to her? Curious, she stepped forward, lowering her neck slightly to appear less intimidating. Tinek, her silver dragon, curled around her front legs, eyeing the boy as well. A soft, gentle smile curved her lips, but her ageless, strange eyes would forever hold a deep sadness. "I remember you from the caves," she murmured softly, recalling the heartbreaking realization that her deepest wishes would never come true. He was in the background, as she was leaving. "My name is Ophelia. What is it you want to ask?" |
