EREBOS
Excitement churned and burned within the lad, boiled and seared against his drumming blood, and as Rikyn joined them, he thought there was nothing the three of them couldn’t do – their motley crew could’ve marched against the beat of time, gallivanted through valleys and wide dunes, or strolled up mountainsides as goats, their possibilities and powers were endless, imminent, omniscient, pernicious and gilded. While Aithniel’s embers scorched creatures around them, while Rikyn ambled ahead, Erebos’ wanton desires and rampant yearnings seethed and scintillated through his frame, urged him onward, pervaded like poignant, siren songs, effortlessly plotting their grand adventures, imagining their eternal victories, with every plunge, every step, every stride of his goat hooves. The next set of rings would christen and anoint them with the regal stature of augured glory, he was sure, he was certain, he was positive, convinced and swayed –

- a piece of white fluff fell on his nose.

He almost stopped immediately to regard it, curiosity slinking and slithering, nearly overcoming his prior commitments for the sake of inquiry and interest. Instead, he continued forward and attempted to stare at it, bleating towards his comrades about the strangest little thing dazzling his maw, and then more fell from the sky, and his senses were overloaded, overwhelmed, with the hasty predilections to touch the light, airy crystals. As he ran, trying desperately not to trip and fall, he stuck his tongue out to the side, attempting a vivid, wild capture of the unearthly fringe, bring it back to his mouth for further investigation. Luckily, he managed to settle a few along his lips without stumbling over various rocks and pebbled wakes, and it was a wonder he didn’t cease all movement for a second time when the taste flooded through his sentiments. It was so sweet! It was heavenly! It was divine! He bleated again to inform his friends about this wonderful, tasty delight, swinging to the left in attempt to catch more of the delicious powder, twisting haphazardly in their gathered sanction en route to the rings (perhaps, if he consumed enough, the sugar would leave him with a burst of energy and not a pungent stomach ache).
