The Moon said nothing. Disappointment crinkled her delicate features as her son spoke, but she could not bring herself to vocalize her disagreement. When had Mesec become so soft? When had objectivity been snuffed out by weakness and sympathy? Had he lost sense of what was important? Perhaps it would have been better had he stayed in the Basin ... While the Goddess didn't condone their racist ideals, at least they had conviction. Her son it seemed, was a new horse each time she saw him. He was malleable yes, but who was doing the molding? His words were hollow and dull. A tragedy? No of course it wasn't, nor would it be if all the mortals died. How could it? There'd be no one around to morn them - except perhaps the Earth. That the situation didn't feel right, caused the Goddess to stomp her hoof as she shifted her weight away from her son. Feelings were how he wanted to differentiate morality? The rumblings in his stomach were supposed to indicate what was right and what was wrong? How could he be sure what he wasn't feeling was simply indigestion? Gas ?

She had already tried to point out the ridiculousness of the situation. If he couldn't see it, she couldn't make him.

"Alright then my little Sherlock." She began, her voice gentle and restrained. "What do you propose? I take it you've seen the hairs in her mouth? Black. Well.... that certainly narrows it down."

Snorting, the Goddess tossed her delicate head. Realizing she had perhaps been unduly cruel, she sighed. The hair didn't narrow things down, but perhaps she could offer Mesec something that would. The wing closest to her son rose from her velvety flank, and as it did so, a sheen of starshimmer appeared. Her feathers spread gently as her feathers gently brushed over the dark coat of her child, covering him briefly in a thousand points of starlight. "Perhaps this will help. So long as you seek her murderer, those under your direct instruction cannot fail to do what you ask. Or at least... it won't be very pleasant should they try to refuse."

Congratulations! Mesec has received the following temporary magic:

:: [Magic: Dark | Words spoken by the user become an order that the target must follow. Resistance to the spoken word leads to physical pain.]
