Sunset paints the desert lake in crimson and gold, metal and blood. The girl surveys it through obsidian eyes, forever amazed by the way the sun can bathe the world in infinitely changing swatches of light. Firechild and her three-tailed brother share a soft, contented sigh; there is nothing to bother them on an evening like this, not with the glow of her moonstone and the lingering warmth of the sun.
An ivory shape on the edge of the oasis catches her gaze and draws it away, focus shifting from the light on the water to the way it plays off her Sultana's trim form. The copper child hasn't spoken to Sohalia since the night of her rescue, of her cowardly flight. The white mare had helped to save her frail life; was she selfish, a fool, to have not sought her out? A cold fear gripped at the girl's breast, fluttering alarm as she wonders if she is resented, if Sohalia has found her wanting or not. Certainly she has failed in her duties to an extent, for her healing has been fleet and far between- Because nobody hurt, Natraj points out, but the girl is too anxious to be soothed by such tales.
Long limbs arch around the shoreline, cautious but careless in the fading light. Copper silhouette, she pauses a distance from the ivory mare, uneasy and unsure, anxious and hopeful. Black eyes peer at the two-toned pegasus', looking for any sign of response: Sohalia appears pensive, almost, and the girl wonders if she will be disturbance or distraction, and if she can carry any of the burden her Sultana bears, as the dove once carried her own fading bulk.
