Towering at 18hh and with a coat as black as pitch, Cináed is a terrifying sight, the darkness of his coat marred only by the single lava-esque marking that creeps up his right foreleg. His mane is short, soldier-like in style, along with his tail. His forelock is braided and kept tucked behind his right ear, and all his trinkets are kept tied into the braid. His four wings are large, the second set placed just behind his ribcage, and both hold a deep black unmarred by any other color. His eyes are burning red-gold, pupils a deep black, and his Marwari blood is most obvious in his curled ears and long legs. His body is layered with muscle, taken from his Shire sire, and a multitude of scars mark the ebony hide, a testament to his passion.

Soldier-born and soldier-raised. Cináed can be blunt, insensitive and stubborn, but this man has a loyalty streak as wide as the sea. If you earn his respect, you would have it through thick and thin, and it would take quite a large effort to break his loyalty, borderline impossible.

To friends he is vocal, and shows an odd sense of humor at times, but more often than not he isn't the most eloquent, and conversations with him can fall short, but he does try. He's not the best about expressing his feelings without physical means, so sometimes he can be a bit awkward or overbearing.

But above all he believes in 'right' and 'wrong' in solid black and white. There are no grey areas. If you do something wrong, he would take it upon himself to punish all those who have committed wrongs he believes too horrible to ignore.


Born into a tribe of wandering vigilantes, from birth he was raised to fight and to defend all that is good in the world against the forces of evil. Only allowed to see his dam when it was time to eat, he has little love for her and considers her more of a stranger than a mother.

For a year his training was kept rather safe, with instructors darting in to break up fights before they got too bloody. But once he hit his season of birth, he was put into a group of others his age and began the serious training that often left him bloody and almost too bruised to get up in the morning only to begin the cycle again. His brutal upbringing stunted his social growth, for there was no time to chitchat between training.

At two years old he had proven himself enough to become the leader of his yearling troop, and began training the next group of yearlings. In that group was a filly named Aofie, who, like he, proved an excellent fighter. Cin gave Aofie more leeway than with others, and often took the blame upon himself for any trouble she got into. The pair swiftly became close friends and soldiers-at-arms, and faced danger together with no fear, trusting the other completely.

But on Cináed's fourth year, Aofie fled the tribe and it's rather barbaric ways, leaving Cináed torn between his loyalty to justice and his loyalty to her. Before the day of her abandonment was out, Cináed had flown after her, refusing to leave her side and let her into the dangers of the world alone. And even after a storm separated the pair, he searched for her, his wanderings eventually leading him to the borders of Helovia.
