It had taken much time for the pale mare to venture outside her homeland but in a way it felt better to be trying to move forward. Trying was the key word for she wanted nothing more than to curl up in a ball and hide away from the world to wallow in her despair. In a way she had tried after the months she had spent searching for something that could not be found. They had tried everything only to come up empty handed with a hole in their hearts. Shaking her head to clear away the moisture that had threatened to seep from her eyes she pushed herself forward not wanting to think or feel anything but the ground beneath her feet.

Moving at a steady pace she sought to return to a place where she had felt happiness at one time in her life in the hopes that it may allow her to see beyond the pain. The fields had not changed much since she had last visited well other than being covered by a thin blanket of powder. That was one thing that she had a love hate relationship with during this time of the year. At times she absolutely despised her white coat for against the white powder it swallowed her up making her a living ghost against the canvas. Yet there were the odd times that this benefited her making her enjoy the cold whitewashed season. Sadly there was never an equal balance between the two so it was easier to describe her relationship with frostfall as just plain complicated.

Stopping to catch her breath underneath one of the bare trees she sighed in defeat hating herself for who she was. The last year or so had been brutal for the young mare and it had left its mark on her body. When her boys had been born she had given much of herself to keep them healthy and well fed leaving her painfully lacking the condition she had gained previously in the year. The next strike to her had been the disappearance of her little boy that had stripped her of any energy she had left. In the many long hours she had spent searching for him she had ignored her own needs worrying more for her son and trying to find him. Aeolus had thankfully stayed by her side the entire time forcing her to take breaks so that he could sleep and eat. It had been a very long year and it was not even close to being over.

Reaching her head back to tease a couple pain in the ass burrs from her tail she slowly was able to regain her limited strength. Finally satisfied with her tail she turned her head to gaze around at the fields remembering the first time her boys had seen this place. It was enough to lighten her mood well at least for the time being. Spotting something moving against the vast white landscape she focused her icy gaze to what she found to be a pegasus standing not to far from where she was. How hadn't she noticed him before now? An amused smirk crossed her expression as he too could be seen trying to rid himself of the pesky cling ons. " Too bad there wasn't an easier solution for getting rid of those things." She commented lightly as she stepped into earshot of the stud.
