She watches him tighten and fidget, her moonlit eyes following the tremble of his breath. The strike of his hooves into the frozen ground makes her jump inside her skin, jolting at sound of pad to earth. “Why?... What is it Bucephalus?” She inches her face closer, ears upright, eager. “Oh no no, if you do not want to go then we shouldn’t.” Her head tosses from side to side, her body leaning back in mock retreat, as if repulsed.

Shadily – sneakily and quietly she takes the scribbled thought in the back of her curious mind. It is an interesting thing, the evil that may be around…for now she’ll stay idle but the future surely calls for an investigative trip to the clouds.

“Take me south then. I’ll follow your lead.” She meets his gaze with her own, a wide genuine smile lighting her mottled pink lips. The breeze picks at the wavy strands of silver draped between her bright mocha eyes, snagging on the long black banded bone twisting from her forehead, frost covering the curved edges. “While we walk I’d love to hear about your experiences on the Island…” She thinks over her next words hurriedly, trying not to offend. “If you want to that is, I do not mean to pry, I’m just a curious sort.” Still smiling behind her sweet, gentle voice.
