THERE'S A STORM WARNING JUST FOR YOU

It began as it usually did with him, a jump in her pulse. She could feel the body of her heart pushing against the confines of its bony cage, each beat a crescendo against the door, each pump an exaltation of injustice at confinement. This thrill, this need, it lived inside of her, was her. Even so she relished it all the more when she felt it surround her, the way she did now, the way she did with him. Maybe that's all he was to her, the surge of life she was always looking for. If she was an adrenaline junkie, was it so bad that he was her fix?

Was he more?

It had never been put to the test. Even this was an unknown place for both of them to walk together. Ampere decided rather strongly that she'd enjoy it for however long the trail lasted, seeing to the journey rather than the destination. She was following that white rabbit to wherever it might lead, if only it would make the trip longer.

She didn't need a name for whatever they were, or even what they wanted to be. All she needed was him, and she had him.

Fly she willed herself, wings cutting down sharply in response to the power of his own. Still, he came, his might more agile than most thought, including herself - he usually let her fly ahead, it made her think she was fast. She was fast, but so was he. Given time she would probably out fly him, just because she didn't have the mass to hurl around the whole time, but she didn't think this would boil down to a waiting game. A couple hits from him and she'd be finished, after all there was more to his muscles than just making him look good. Besides, patience wasn't her top skill.

He arrived behind her in a display of fire and sex. How many times had she envisioned him in that exact location? Too often some snide part of her replied, while another winked at him under the lashes of her tail.
"Too soon," she breathed, unheard over the scream of the wind as they shot through the sky, each pursuing each other in a tangle of feathers and hooves. He couldn't catch her yet, so she folded her left wing faintly, which made her body dip away from him. Her rump rolled just underneath the stretch of his teeth, but his legs still locked against hers, so gentle it left little more than a bit of bruised skin. It'd be a nice reminder of that tantalizing moment when she got to feel him, but it wasn't enough, and then her leg had slipped free, all bone and ligament in his butterfly grasp.

For a brief flash she turned enough that she was looking up at him, and that moment seemed too last so long and yet so short, and then there was nothing but sky. Ampere came out of her fall after two spins to the left, her wing flicking back out after some effort. She snapped them down, trying to race after Gaucho before he got much distance between them.

Electricity ran in all of them, in all things. She could feel it humming beneath the rush of his blood, a language of synapses and energy. Her magic went out like an invisible hand to brush over those chords of his body, as if to strum on them like an instrument. She selected the part that was his wings, bidding them to slow, to feel her resistance. She hoped it'd buy her enough time to pull up to him, her left shoulder near his right flank. As much as she wanted to linger there, to drape herself across his coup, she needed to keep her momentum. Her speed was her singular ally against this titan and the only thing that would give her power in this battlefield of sky and clouds. So though she carried tenderness in her heart, her front hooves aimed like a pouncing wildcat against the robustness of his right ass, and then she was off to her right, using him like a spring board if she could.

Not too far though, she wanted to be close enough to taunt him with another flash of eyes.

All the safeguards and barricades she fortified herself with were cast aisde. Gone were the promises and the friendships, be they to herself or others surely more important. The flames on the edges of his wings weren't harmless after all; they burned away the world so that only he remained, capturing her fully in his light, instilling inside of her his heat.

She could live in a world like that.
