The days were warming, and with that warmth came a a voice calling the stallion's name. A warm smile spread over his features as strong pillars move into a smooth canter the silver speckled bay lets his mind wander. Snow and ice had kept the Sergeant at home, with his new family. So much had happened in just a season. He had gone from a new recruit to a Sergeant of the World's Edge warriors. Daemyn was still uncertain as to how this had happened. Among all of that, he was sure he had fallen for the beautiful mare that had healed, and brought him home. Nayati was the only mare his mind had ever been drawn too. The sweet young lass seemed to swarm his mind all the time. The poor boy was still confused on how she had captured his attention so completely.

Lilac eyes flashed happily as he thought of her, until he finally came to a halt. Quietly he gazed at the massive shadow he had come to a stop under. 'What in the world?' Curiously the refined muzzle tilted up to look upon a huge floating island. Even as the stallion wondered how people got up there, a cloud slowly formed under his large hooves. Freezing he allowed the fully formed cumulus slowly lifted him from the ground. 'How strange.' Turning his attention to the shrinking ground the Sergeant wandered if this was how all winged equines saw the world, he would have to ask someone. It was so cool how Helovia looked from up here. Lilac eyes could see a desert, mountains, deserts, waterfalls, as well as his stunning evergreen home.

Finally the cloud came to a halt even with the island. Stepping carefully from the water accumulated form onto Earth, was kind of a relive. Sighing a breath he didn't know he had been holding the powerful male gazed around. Cherry trees were in full bloom, and the scent was intoxicating. Smiling he took off at a gallop, eager to explore this new and exciting area.

I will end your suffering and let the healing light come in

Days had slipped by in the pleasant new haze of spring, a forgotten blur that left Nayati feeling as useless as always. Rankless and overlooked, there was little she felt she had power over, and had begun a journey of wasting away. Her mother had lapsed into another bout of depression, with her beloved Quilyan missing. Was Nayati not enough for her? Or was she just forgotten because she was not Quilyan, and not the daughters Resplendence had truly lost? Rathunax growled softly from above, clearly unhappy with this train of thought. Nayati had stopped apologizing, because there was little that brought her from her silence and the tortured musings of her mind these days.

Their travelling has no rhyme or reason, the outcast inside her as strong as it always was. Was the Edge even her proper home any longer? Should she remain? Or join Vadim in his ways, seek out the wilds once more? After all she'd been searching for something nameless for years, ever since her mother had left her half-dead in winter and she'd stumbled bleeding and broken into the Threshold and into Svetlana's wings. All thought is terminated when she realizes that clouds are gathering round her, and for a moment she thinks of the mists of the Edge, except they are surely clouds. As they begin to lift her, she panics. She cannot jerk away from them, but she fights all the same, her heart racing until her head is dizzy and her ears are buzzing furiously. Fear jabs into her like a sharpened stake, and she whimpers, too scared to make any noise of terror.

Rathunax is furious, diving through the air and screaming his frustration, sparks collecting in his teeth as he is helpless to stop what is scaring her. It is only a temporary thing, magically induced, but Nayati crumples to her knees the moment earth is beneath her hooves. Hyperventilating, little chest heaving as she tucks her head to her chest as much as possible, forehead to the ground as she tries to center herself. Rathunax alights upon her back, spreading his wings as if to blanket her completely from the outside world, singing soft croons into her ears until she has calmed. It is a long process, but slowly she uncoils, lifting herself with the strength she does not believe herself to possess.

She walks on.

Rathunax flies ahead, his protectiveness demanding any danger she could cross paths with find him first. Only it's not something dangerous that he finds, but something familiar. Or rather, someone familiar. Rathunax chirrups happily and dives down to fly in front of the spotted steed, clicking and making an overall racket to capture his attention. If Daemyn remembered Rathunax, surely he would know that Nayati was in the vicinity.

Speaking of, the noises her companion was making attracted the attention of the spotted lady anyways, and she hurried after him. What had he found that was so exciting? The waterfalls are a pleasant harmony that draw her closer, nudging past cherry blossom branches that happily intertwine in her long locks as she seeks out her beloved. As she lifts her head she sees them as a pair, Rathunax and Daemyn. Her smile is soft and small, and she approaches at a slower pace, trying and failing to shake the pale pink petals from her tresses.

"Hello, Daemyn."

The warm spring air whipped his silvery locks spurring his legs to move faster, his body to stretch out further. Gods was it great to run, to just be free from it all! Oxygen fed his massive lunges as he pressed himself to the end of his speed. Praising his Quarter horse blood the fueled his speed, as well as cursing it for the short lived run. A massive smile was slung casually across his face as the muscular stallion slid to a stop. Sweat soaked his heaving spotted sides lilac eyes closing as he adsorbed the sweet ache coursing through his body. 'Man did I need that to clear my head!' having a good workout away from home was never a bad thing, especially if it helped you relax.

Bright eyes flew open as the sound of wings caused his ears to prick. A few seconds after the sound of wings came a chirping sound. Looking up he caught sight of a red leathery dragon flying towards him. Hope flared like a fire in through his heart. He knew that dragon, and his bonded! "Rathunax, how are you?" He smiled brightly up at the racket making lizard. Then her sweet scent engulfed him drew his brain into a fog. His husky voice was just a whisper "If you need to land feel free to use me, Rathunax."

Once more calling on his lineage the stallion pivoted slowly to the right so he could see the girl that had captured his heart. Amethyst eyes turn upon her just as she steps clear of the cherry blossom trees. The pink flowers tangled within her flowing alabaster locks were dulled in comparison to her natural grace and shinning beauty. A soft and quiet sigh seeped from his lunges as he gazed upon her spotted face. Just her face and eyes were enough to make his head spin, and heart flutter. Her sweet musical lyrics drew ears so far forward it almost hurt. He wondered vaguely if he could get her to say his name again. Laughter almost huffed from him as the crazy thought trickled away.

Thunder rolled from his soft kissers, "Nayati, how are you?" His smile was genuine, even though he was still trying to catch his breath. Her presence was not helping him in anyway, unless making you nervous as help. "Umm... Do you need some help with those flowers? I... I think they look good." As he spoke the stallion turned his gaze downward feeling very shy. He could not for the life of himself figure out how he made those words come out. A shy but honest smile flickered around his muzzle. Maybe she would take to his words and leave the flowers, or she might just laugh in his face. He slowly moved his bulk so it was distributed evenly among all four hooves, making it easier for him to breath.

I will end your suffering and let the healing light come in

Beneath the gaze of the one he'd intended to draw the attention of, Rathunax preened at the unnecessary but happily received sentiments, cooing far softer down at the stallion. Though he does not necessarily know the exact words that kiss the air between them, there is something new to the shift in the stallion's body, the reassurance of his tone that translates to something understandable in his young brain. Swooping down, he hovered like a stain of blood and crimson in the sky, awaiting denial. When he did not receive one immediately, he perched gently upon the beast's wide shoulders. His claws did no prick nor pinch, so used to being as gentle as possible with his spotted bonded that it was habit. Wings settled at his sides in a flourish, stretching out the knots in his shoulders and singing softly in contentment as they awaited the arrival of his beloved.

She did not take long to surface from the foliage, eyes red red red in remembrance as his emotions called out to hers. Familiarity embraced him, and he smugly peered down at her from his new throne. Nayati did not approve of him constantly attempting to tie her to the few friends she had in a far more romantic way. Daemyn and Vadim were his most favored victims, but she suspected that the two were relatively clueless in regards to his consistent meddling. Nayati herself kept her emotions locked inside, which only lent itself more to her wistful, etherworldly aura.

Aside from that normal appearance, she was glowing softly with a smile perched on her dark lips as she struggled free of the gently tugging branches. She had learned to recover from her bouts of fear far faster, Rathunax a guide for her panic and a container for her more wicked emotions. Flowers bloom like an entry carpet for her, and Rathunax himself can't help but watch her with awe as she moves toward them, beautiful and enchanting in her own right.

His smugness only increases to see how Daemyn reacts, and Nayati flushes beneath his parroting approval.

He speaks slow and strong, and her smile only strengthens beneath his kindness, demurely glancing at her hooves before looking back up at him. "I'm well, I suppose. Had a terrible fright on the way up, but it's a beautiful place," she shared, only to glare softly at Rathunax when he scoffed. A terrible fright was an understatement, of which they were both aware, but Daemyn did not need to know her weaknesses. She feared it would make him think less of her.

Nayati had been clueless to the petals in her hair, and she turned to settle her rose gaze upon them with a look of surprise. One that quickly evolved into shy gratitude at his compliment, and soon they were both ducking their heads, helpless to the force of their own private emotions. "Th-Thank you, Daemyn. I've rarely received such a compliment. I suppose I'll let them stay, then," she breathed, feeling a little short of breath with her pounding heart. Moving closer, she stood not far from him, smiling up at him as her flowers grew with her stillness to envelope his hooves as well, a bed of ever-growing beauty that disconnected them from the rest of the world. "And you? How are you, Daemyn?"
