[Please let @[Elsa] post first. It is up to her if this thread will be open to others!]

It actually took a long time to make, let me tell you what. Gathering all the necessary materials? Finding them all in good shape, and, when possible, aesthetically pleasing? Psssh. It's a damned miracle, let's just start with that. A damned miracle. But it all came together. It was beautiful, and even more beautifully played.

But enough about that, this is what you see...

There's a stone jutting out near the top of one of the waterfalls. Upon it sits an otter holding what you think is a violin, but... I mean seriously? A violin? The wood was not the deep brown you might expect, but white and black as if made from Birch. You can't tell what the strings are made of ... but surely it isn't the normal materials. The bow seems to be incrusted with something - if you moved closer you would notice that there were random objects from the sea (shells and such), but also anything else you could think of that glittered: shiny rocks, bits of metal, some glass .. It didn't make a lot of sense as the bow would be too heavy to move easily but .. what the hell. It's an otter playing a violin, so maybe you'll let a few details slip.

What you would notice is how beautiful the music is. Heavy bow and weird construction materials aside, the otter is nailing it. Her eyes are closed as she gently sways with the music she creates, one of her black feet tapping on the rock to keep the rhythm. As she plays you notice that the swell of the waves around her appear to be doing so in time with what she plays. How odd. The water seems to not want to drop over the fall, but instead stay and listen - in fact there is sort of a ... bubble in the water, holding the water back longer than it should be. It can't hold very much back, like the way surface tension can only do so much, but clearly the water is trying to stay and listen. That's nice.

"Hello Elsa " She greets without opening her eyes. Something tells you that you could have arrived invisibly and she still would have known you were there. But, that shouldn't be too surprising. I mean, otter..violin...weird water properties, what's a little omniscience?

The Falls were pretty in birdsong, and by pretty she means okay. Of course Birdsong was the "new table of the year" or whatever else its to be called, but winter was much preferred. Although she didn't think winter was all that great at the time, she missed the cold air as it wrapped itself around her. It was comforting, much more so than the humid air that surrounded the Falls. Anytime there was even a glimmer of heat, the falls would make every place (except for the ones right under it) feel completely hot and sticky. That's why she preferred to stay above them.

The roar of the Falls was lulling to fall asleep to. It was a harmonious sound that in and of itself could put any listener into a trance. Its roar was deafening, and could wipe out the sound of anybody nearby who could be a bother. Her eyes were closing underneath the shade of a tree, when something much like a song caught her eyes. Instead of the roar of the falls, she was being serenaded by a beautiful melody. And beautiful was an understatement, it was flawless. The music was at least a thousand times more emotional and moving than those of the bards back home.

Her ears swiveled to listen for a few moments, before curiosity overtook her. As far as she knew, no one had any ability like that. It sounded much like an instrument she had never heard before. Singing and drums were the choice of her homeland, and this was neither voice nor beat. She quietly moves, trying not to disturb whatever is making this harmonious song.

It gets louder the closer she gets to the falls, and suddenly she can make out a figure. Its brown, and seemingly sitting on a rock that looks out over the waterfall in all of its crashing glory. The music is so intense that it even seems that the falls have slowed down to revel in the glory that is music. Quietly, she approaches from behind, trying not the bother the... what is it, oh, an otter. Its playing something that has strings layered across it, and the instrument itself is a work of art, she tilts her head intrigued.

Thats when it speaks. Not only does it speak... but it doesn't even look at her, or stop playing for that matter. In fact, it even seems to know her name. Elsa's eyes widened as her eyes shifted back and forth behind the otter. How could it possibly have seen her? Quickly she swings her head to the side and turns to face behind her, but nothing is there either. Moving back behind the otter, Elsa draws a little closer, ears back a little in fear. What is going on? Was she high? Did Oxy somehow manage to play some sick trick on her or something? Her eyes blinked a few times before she spoke. "Uhmm.... Hi?" Her words come off as more of a question. She wants to blurt out many things, most along the lines of why the hell is there an otter on top of a waterfall, and how the hell is said otter playing an instrument. "Do I know you?" Well, that was a start she supposed. If anything, she may as well try to understand what seemed to know her so well.

"No." She replies simply, not even breaking from the rhythm she has created. Her body continues to sway, clearly not worried about Elsa's presence, foot still tapping upon the rock. Her finger work the fret board expertly, moving with a grace as if dancing on their own. Her other arm twists, rising and falling with each movement of the bow, touching the strings just hard enough to produced the desire tenor and note. Sometimes she bows the strings, sometimes she plucks them, but always she creates a melody that seems to be far too grand for the oddly constructed instrument she holds. "You would remember me if we had."

Spinning, her back now to the crashing of water, she eyes Elsa with a piercing but kind black gaze, still continuing to play. Her black stare seemed to fade, as if looking through the mare, and yet taking her in all the same. Her wings, her coat, the sheen of her hooves and the marking on her shoulder. The dullness of her left eye. "ah.. oh.." She mumbled to herself, closing her eyes and swaying once again to the rhythm of the violin, apparently not meaning for Elsa to respond.

"So." She said after a few more bars had passed. The phrasing of the melody began to change, growing more fragmented and fragile. It seemed to dance in the air, and in fact ... was it? The air began to shimmer as it began to solidify. The water molecules began to vibrate as their temperatures dropped just enough to crystallize into snowflakes. Gently snow began to appear and swirl out of nowhere, joining into the dance that the water had already begun. More and more snow fell, but it did not linger anywhere, instead returning simply to air as soon as it touched any surface.
"I hear you like snow."

Even when speaking, nothing changes. There is no hiccup in the notes, or pauses in the bars. Its all one seemingly continuous melody. Apparently they have not met... so how? Its all so confusing really, maybe she was dreaming.. or drugged. All the possibilities were actually endless, but she can't pull herself out of this, so she may as well try to understand exactly what is going on. Apparently though, the no isn't a simple enough answer, and the otter's attitude even changes, quite cocky about their experiences. Elsa's metaphorical brow raises, and she smiles a little. It cracks across her face.

Then the otter suddenly spins around, and Elsa can actually see this mystical being of all-knowingness. Her eyes are a jet-black, and she's looking straight at her. Elsa tilts her head as if to say "the heck", but no words fall from her mouth. Of course, the music continues to play as the otter seems to once-over her. She felt like a slave being assessed before an auction. Although the otters gaze was oddly... kind.

She speaks again and Elsa returns to a normal, not creeped-out stance. However... a mere so is all she gets for a while. The music begins to change then, to something more disconnected, yet still beautiful. It was as if she was speaking in terms of ice, or winter. Elsa laughed, did the otter know about her obsession with winter? Suddenly, a few flakes fall in front of her and now Elsa is convinced she's high, or this is some weird odd punishment from the God. Some landed on her, but as quickly as they came, disappeared. Her eyes darted around for a moment before landing back on the otter as she speaks. 'So I hear you like snow.'

Did she really expect this crap to get any less freaky? Well, realistically this should be less weird, considering she does have a snowflake smacked right on her body. I don't think you can get a much bigger sign than a snowflake on someones body. Still... it was weird. "Yes." She replies slowly, looking around again. Now she kind of feels slightly paranoid that someone is watching her. "Am I being pranked?" She suddenly blurts out, and her eyes widened. The thought that she thought was in her head apparently escaped out of her mouth. She scrunched her nose a little, horrified by her own lack of manners. She figured though, she may as well know if she needs to run for the hills.

The music abruptly halts as Elsa asks if she's being pranked. The otter's eyes scrunched up into two black points as her mouth twisted into a frown. So much magic in Helovia ... the influence of the God's was everywhere, and almost every day someone was finding a companion or a ball of magic, or completing tasks to attain what their desired. How was this anymore strange? Above that, the otter was hurt. She had made the violin for this specific purpose. To call down the snow out of the sky itself and it was seen as some sort of joke. A a trick. A prank...

The bow twitched in her paw as she held it away from the strings. The water rushed back to its normal pace, and all the snow disappeared from the sky. As much as she wanted to be upset with Elsa, she couldn't manage it. She had been watching the creature for some time now .. had seen her with him. The big one. The otter bet that if Elsa had never met the big one she wouldn't think she was being pranked. It was only because of his drugs and his lies and his...(actually, the Otter didn't know much about Oxy past the drugs, so her rambling line of thought sort of trailed off) .. his whatever else, that Elsa was thinking this way.

Leaning against the bow now and placing the violin at her feet, the otter regarded Elsa curiously, all traces of her prior frown disappearing. "No, you aren't being pranked." She sighed. "I made this for you, to give you a gift. It was supposed to be ... you know, one of those moments that makes your bones tingle that you can tell your friends and it makes them jealous. I was trying to make it magical for you." She huffed, seeming more disappointed that her plan hadn't work out the way she expected it to. Still, she blamed the big one for this, and not Elsa. Deep down, she was glad that her mistress had given the big one such a difficult quest. She hoped he would sweat and itch and cringe for the pesky thoughts he placed in Elsa's mind.

"I guess .. ugh. Well I guess it's ruined now. Come here-" She stretched out the bow, incrusted with all of the shiny objects, pointing it at Elsa's nose, apparently suggesting that she touch it.

Her music stopped abruptly as soon as the words flowed from her mouth. Elsa frowned, wondering why exactly she had stopped. The water then fell quickly back to its usual roar, the melody that once was gracing her ears was no gone. The otter too, seemed a little disappointed at her question. Elsa almost opened her mouth to defend herself, for in reality, all of her "surprises" had been rather bad. This included the more recent one, where colorful fruit had basically made her turn into a walking rotting corpse for a little while. Although, that had been the worst thing thus far that she has come across.

She finally spoke though, returning to her previous smile. Thankfully, her words were a relief. So, if anything did happen, at least Elsa had something to fall back on as an excuse. However, that wasn't all she had to say, apparently she was here for some sort of purpose. The otter begins talking of gifts then, ones she wished to bestow upon Elsa herself. Her eyes scrunched again, drowning in her own thoughts. What could she had possibly done to deserve anything like a gift? Her head tilted, but she waited for the otter to finish. Apparently she was trying to make it magical, or something of the sort.

Elsa wanted to snort, and reject such a thing. What had boasting and jealousy won anyone here? Those who are most wrathful and bold seem to suffer the worst fate. Her mind wanders back to the giant white unicorn that now lay dead, as if nothing more than a memory. He was boasting his power, and look where it got him. She pushes the thoughts out of her head, trying to focus on the thing now pushed in front of her face. It was the part of the instrument that seemed to grace the other half and create harmony. It was beautiful, incrusted with many a shiny and pretty object. "Well..." She pauses for a moment then, reaching out to press her nose against the object stretched out before her. What's the worst that could happen?

As soon as her muzzle touches the bow, her body feels ... cold. It isn't a devastating cold, not one that pierces the skin and worms its way down to the very marrow of her bones. It's a comforting cold, an invigorating one. It wraps Elsa tightly in its embrace, casting a sheen of ice all along her body, beginning at her nose. The ice stretches and reaches as if alive, clinging and wrapping Elsa in its frosty embrace. Just as quickly as it covers it dissolves, leaving a shimmer behind that seems to hang upon her already pale coat, before falling down into the rushing water below.

"It's for you .." The otter hums to herself, retracting the bow and producing the previous melody once again. As she does more snow seems to fall, but this time something is different. Each time Elsa moves snow seems to shed from her very body. Each tail twitch causes snow flakes to fall, and even more would accumulate should Elsa decide to move.

"Now you can have the snow with you, even when its warm out. It won't last as long of course but..." The otter shrugs as she plays as if to indicate that there's only so much she can do about that. "I like the snow too." She concludes happily.

Congratulations! Elsa has received the following passive magic: :: [Magic: Water x Light (P) | snow follows her wherever she goes, no matter the season]

As soon as she touches it, she feels odd inside. Suddenly, her nose is covered in ice. It isn't painful, its actually quite wonderful. Its the feeling that she has most often when trudging through Frostfall. Its invigorating almost, in the sense that she feels... alive! It continues to cover her body, this mystical ice, covering her back and all the way down her legs. Its a wondrous thing really, nothing she's ever seen before. What kind of powers did this mysterious otter wield?

As soon as it had encased her, it was gone. It left a shiny sheen that glittered off of her nose, and her eyes flickered to the otter. She speaks, saying that it is for her. Elsa moved her head to look at her body, and as soon as she did, winter fell upon her. It was snowing... in Birdsong! A goofy, almost childish smile crossed her face as the otter continued, telling her that it won't last long. "I'm.. Thank you." She says breathlessly, looking around again, and spinning as if to watch the snow fall from her. It was addicting really, but a nice companion. It was nice to know that she could live in her eternal winter.

The snow-loving otter returns to playing, and Elsa offers a bow. It was a gift that she had never expected, that was most certain. "Should you ever be in want of an audience, come find me." Elsa concludes, nodding towards the instrument which gave off such a melodious sound. Elsa would have to get herself one of those things one day. With that, she offered the otter another small bow, before taking flight. The snow falls around her and all she can do is laugh. This is more than wonderful, this is... perfect.
