I'll never see any side of heaven
I'll walk for miles through a blazin' hell

The hole in the center of the earth was smoking, the breeze carrying the black cloud across the land. Bathing in the molten lava was a creature made of liquid gold, and his yellow eyes burned in fury. Some ratty bunch of godless morons had managed to overthrow the stallion he had set in place of HIS REGION! HIS! A yellow of rage exploded from his throat and the land trembled, the trees and leaves shaking the the stones jumping. Not even dousing himself in flame was calming the anger in his soul. Both of them would pay - the dirt lover and the moon bitch. Both of them!

After exhaling a curling row of flame, the God of the Sun stepped forth from his hot bath, his hooves scorched the earth beneath him. Flame ran off of his body like water, and he snapped his wings out, shaking off the smoke the curled to his feathers like fog. The two, twisted antlers from his head were his proud crown, and now he would be able to use them appropriately. He would use them to kill. Use them for their intended purpose.

"Do you hear my thoughts, lady of the Moon?" he spat angrily, eyes still burning in flame. "And you, Sir Dirt?" The God of the Sun lifted his maw to the sky and laughed. "All of those who love and praise you will suffer. All who adhere to your precious powers will fall, and I will laugh as their bones dry up and no amount of sweat can cool their bodies. The water will dry up. The fields will die. I will kill it all. Rebuilding is... after all... our specialty, yes?"

With another deep yell, a tidal wave of flame engulfed the surrounding high grasses. The fire spread quickly in the dry heat of summer, leveling the surrounding area. As the scorched earth lay black and barren, the Sun God mused that this was only the beginning.

“He’s pissed.”
“Well spotted, genius.”

A glare was tossed between the brothers, though it was mostly ‘friendly’ banter. They were capable of love, they loved each other and themselves more than anything in the world (besides perhaps, their sisters), but they were also more than capable of throwing hateful words and violent attacks at each other. Together they watched the Sun God unleash his fury, standing at the edges of the land labelled Helovia’s Heart, wary of the fire creeping closer to them. It was a small, annoying sort of flame, one that left death behind it, and crackled as it ate everything in its path.

The brothers watched the winged, horned God in all of his fiery glory. They were named for the fire and shadow form which they were born, they understood the importance of keeping a balance between the two. Too much of one was dangerous, that much was obvious by the temper tantrum the Sun Lord was throwing before them. Golden eyes drank the actions, and charred ears heard the words; the brothers were informed, and they would pass their knowledge on to those who needed to know. Though they called no God their one and only, their sisters held their trusts largely with the Moonlit one, and so they knew their siblings would appreciate the knowledge of the Sun’s anger.

“Hey Solar!” Madyrn’s voice rang out. “You missed a spot!” Laughter rumbled from both of the boy’s deep chests, they were not going to hang around to see the results of their small words. “Time to run,” Maskan said, as in a fluid movement, both steeds turned and left the Heart, eager to pass their knowledge on, and not looking forward to the no doubt, harsh, hot times that would be ahead of them all.

He watched from afar, as the God of the Sun pitched a temper tamtrum. Well, that's what it looked like in the young painted stallion's dark mahogany eyes. He watched as the God that had finally granted him magic, acted like a little child not getting his way. The colt had met the God of the Earth as well, and both had seemed kind then..... Now, well Aaron wasn't so sure. He glanced around and saw two older stallions, apperently related. His ears perked forward listening. The other two taunted the God and then took off running.

As they took of, Aaron glanced back to the God of the Sun. With a snort, the bay and white colt turned and took off running. The herd needed to know of this new threat. But before the herd, Phi and her twin Kutlu needed to know as well.... Something told him that the wilds of Helovia would not be a safe place for anyone wandering. He picked up his pace, heading for a place unknown.
