THRANDUIL

Well that had been a waste. An utter waste. It might have been worked out more smoothly had the other not stepped up to the plate. It perhaps would have gone quiet well. He had at least gotten his name out of him, and stopped the immediate sobs. But no, Torleik had joined in. Harks pinned back, feeling the cold metal touch of his circlet. This was something to fight over though. However it did not change his first desires to find some time alone. So the gold let it go. Not something he usually did, and resolved to slip away into the darkness of dark forest for some time alone at last before the inevitable pangs of his bonded slipped into his chest.

Oh but the warrior would not let it slip so lightly by, and more’s the pity for him. Walking away he heard the low grinding words come pounding at him. Stopping with a stomp the gold raised his twin horned head and turned it back. He noted the black who walked on water and ice did look over him with scrutiny, and it made the insult all the more harsh. His eyes got a spark within them. He would teach this piece of dumb ass battle shit a lesson he wouldn’t soon forget. So the gold paints on himself before the black can see much a look calm pain at the sentencing of his skills. His ears were forward, and eyes clouded with confusion at the bloodskald’s words. “It was the truth so far as I have found it.” So that all the black would find upon this golden’s face was a look of weary sadness.

The golden remembered well each time the soldier had seen him, for the gold had seen him as well. Roughed up at meetings and keeper of the new lady’s honor he had been. It seemed fitting the new lady was in love with a block head as this. The black speaks again, his voice commanding the authority that it had no right to. The gold was equal in ranks to war monger, and most certainly he had no right to level his accusations at him. Still, like a Cheshire cat the golden smiles inside for the trap he was laying. With face weary but calm he replies. “I am a scholar for our family.” He shifts with a critical gaze coming through the swirling depths of his tired eyes. “You have no right to disrespect me,” the gold seemed to shift, trying to find some inner core with which to stand up this battle beast. “You are the sect that gives this family such a bad name with your threats and violence.” The gold seemed to have found the core he had searched, and stood more solid with head higher than before, but his voice still held a waver, and was small and weak compared to the brute before him. Oh how the gold waited for the black to walk into the lie, to feel for himself the strength of the gold’s webs. Of course nothing was for certain, but the gold had been ever so careful not to leave any sign but that of a small little diviner, having been honest in his attempt, no trying to find a foothold to resist this attack from a soldier.
