His breath was slowing, but not from comfort. Nerves seemed to have the opposite affect on Cerin, instead of becoming hyper aware, time seemed to slow down. He was painfully close, and willingly at that. His throat tightened painfully until... it was perfect. Her shoulder pressed into his nose with so much grace and friendship, that his eyes glassed over. He wanted to cry, wanted to scream and let the world know how happy he was. There was only so far he could go within his jail, so instead, he'd let her experience it.

What he opened up to her was a place he had always hidden himself within. A place of beauty, serenity and grace. A place that doesn't ever exist. He was the only one that could drag a shard of it into reality. His mind was churning with every detail she wanted. He reached so far into the back of his mind to make it perfect for her. He could see the expanse of gold and life, but that is not what he was focused on. It was so hard to keep this image alive, and to actually watch her. There was not a single thing that had taken his attention with so much vigor. Yet, here she was. A girl whom he had never met, sweeping him off his feet and taking every ounce of composure he had.

However, all dreams had to end.

Exhaustion overwhelmed him, and as soon as the contact was broken, a rush of air passed by his lips. A meaningful and content smile spread across his face, and he turned away. She need not to see him happy. This was for her, and solely her. Dragging his own wants and dreams into this was selfish. With a few more calming breaths, his smile faded from its joyous state into the small smile he wore so often. Although this one was much, much brighter.

It was at this point, his surprise surpassed anything he'd ever encountered. She moved, but not away. She didn't leave or chastise. Instead, she stayed. She was here, and even moving towards him. Her head ducked beneath him, and it felt so foreign. It was such an alien touch, one that he had never experienced. His green eyes widened, and moved to keep her. He wanted her to stay here forever. The delicate flicker of her ears against his cheek made his eyes fall shut. This was a feeling that can never be seen or spoken, only felt. He tucked his head inward, wanting to keep this forever. He did have the power to create alternate realities, but this was something that could not be repeated.

He could tell she was crying again, and he wanted to stop her. He didn't deserve tears, whether out of fear or happiness. He should not be feared, but he and his motions were not something to be joyous about. His throat tightened painfully again, and his dipped his head at a steeper angle, trying to keep as much contact as possible. It was his promise now, that he would keep her safe. She would be his responsibility whether or not she appreciated it. He would not stand to let her live in the world that he had oft been victim too.

Her words however, shattered him. Every part of nature he thought to be true was broken. She wasn't afraid, she wasn't mad, she wasn't all the other negative emotions he had experience. Instead, she was the opposite. She was the life he wished he had. The birds he wished to sing with. Again he wanted to scream. He wanted her to know that she had done much, much more for him. He wanted to know where she lived, and if she would visit him again. How could he find a girl he couldn't communicate with? Thus, he must seize the day, for it is often a day that ends just as quickly as it started.

'Stay with me..' Silence was the only response.

"blah blah blah."
