Expression softening to something of contemplating, she wasn't sure what to say so she didn't sound like a child. "Oh, I see. I had wanted to swim, but from the sound of it I better not, " she answered, making sure to change her tone to something more friendly and light. She had not meant for the question to be taken rudely, or voiced in that manner. She wasn't about creating enemies, especially one who were only trying to help. (If this were really this case.) There was still question to her eyes, but her mask softened. It was quickly with a toss of her head to move her locks, she let out a quick breath, and started walking for the shore.

Momentarily she tucked in her top lip, letting her steel colored irises stare upon the equine. The red maned lady was still trying to decide what was upon his face, but was still too far to be sure. It looked like scars, but his own long forelock obscured it. The sun did not make it much easier, and she squinted against the brightness.

"You an official life guard of the beach or volunteer?" She called back with an impish grin. The mare did not pause for answer, she continued to work toward the stallion, her tail attempting to sway side to side, but too heavy to move more than a quarter inch one way than the other.

Eventually, her hooves fell deep into the wet sand, and she vigorously shook herself, flipping her tail to rid of excess liquid. She had made a point to stay clear of brute, feeling he likely wouldn't appreciate a spotted shower. Then it was with a jump to her step, she made the rest of the way up the tiny step of embankment, over to the stallion.
