You've done it again. You wandered away from the mare that said she would help you because you can't stay still. You want to believe that you're more independent than you really are. You don't want to believe or accept that you have to rely on anyone when you need others to help you. Its a cruel twist of fate and you think that the elders knew exactly what they were doing when they blinded you. They wanted you to feel helpless because they knew that you would try to prove that you're not. They knew it would be the end of you, but if you're anything you're stubborn. You're obstinant. You're not going to just lay down and die because they want you to. You have things to do first. You have a mare to find.

At least you're looking better. Don't get me wrong, you still look terrible but you're not as bad off as you were when Agrona found you on the beach. You've put on a little bit of weight, but your hips are still jutting out. Your milky eyes still look sunken into your scarred face. I can count each one of your ribs and your backbone is still sticking out. At least you're able to hold your wings against your sides instead of dragging them across the ground. Doing that is murder on your feathers and you know that you're missing quite a few of them because of it. You're quite the sight to see, really.

But you're moving with a purpose because you can smell her. Muriel. Muriel. You've been wandering around, looking for her for so long and now she's there. She's within your grasp and you know it. Your heart feels like it jumped from your chest into your mouth and you can barely breathe. You stumble over your hooves as continue onward, your nose guiding you. Then you hear her. She says your name and you feel like you're drowning. When did this happen? When did you start to love her so damned much?

"Muriel!" You choke out her name as you stumble to a stop and you listen. "...Muriel." You worry that she won't answer you, that she'll abandon you like you've done to her so many times. But you explained your reasons when you were in the caves, didn't you? She understood then, didn't she? Would she understand that you hadn't done it purposely this time? That you had gotten lost and couldn't find her. "...I'm sorry."
