You're such a tiny speck, your existence spits in the eye of true predators. Black panther companion, but since companions are smaller versions of their un-domesticated cousins, he is not a "true" predator-- "He is much smaller than his wild cousins".
0| The "you're" in this sentences implies that it is the character of interest who is small, not a companion. That said, the character I was looking for was not a horse, so I got half-way to the clue's intent.
Your hide betrays your name, but there is something in your heart that comes quite close. The name "Kiara" = black, dark. She is red/white. However, she is "depressed" as noted in her personality, and depression is often referred to as a "dark" time/feeling.
0| This wasn't something that was easy to get to- searching "Kiara" doesn't bring up any pages for me that indicate the name meaning and I don't know the meaning of my character's names off-hand. On the other hand, the note disparity between hide and emotions was good, I thought.
