There had been nothing but the water, washing silently against her legs, lulling her into peace. Soon she was going to need to find someone to feast upon, to rejuvenate her tired body, but for now she could enjoy this moment. That was, until someone came crashing into the pond - splashing her in the process.

It had been a perfect moment but then, Syrena was never truly content unless there was someone around - unless there was someone that she could show off for. Not that this… mare? was her first choice for someone to show off for. She was large, practically masculine looking. Did they actually make females with this build? Were they better equipped for childbearing than the thin, delicate creatures that Syrena was used to? Those odd, non-magical mares that did not dwell in ponds had not been particularly pretty, they had not yet found a way to compete with the enchantresses that stole their men and drowned them - if they were lucky, after they had been used.

There was a long moment between when the strange, bulky mare spoke and when Syrena did - her dark grey-blue eyes blinking slowly as she tried to decide what to do. Eventually, slowly, that silk voice of hers found itself and she uttered simply. “It would be best if you did not do it again.” The trickles of the splashed water ran down her sides, leaving trails of pink wherever the droplets touched.

But, now that she was here, Syrena had to admit she was a touch curious. These Helovians were so different than what she was used to. Not moving any closer, only turning her head a little more for a better look, she took in the sight of this creature sharing her pond. Her pond, already, but all the water belonged to her kind. “Who are you?” There might not have been anything particularly kind about her voice just then but there was no true malice to it.
