White December

Her sentence had been simple, to the point and not much intention put into it, but oh had it irked the mare. She already knew this conversation was going to be a rather... unpleasant one. The way the pink strands laced her dark ash bodice caused December's eyes to trail momentarily, her annoyance never once crossing her complexion. She knew in comparison to this dame, despite the strange color-changing ability, that she was not nearly as attractive. Her hooves were chipped, mane knotted and short, and her feathers often dirty no matter what she did to try and clean them. She was larger, even for a mare her breed, a large, round rump following behind her thick curves and limbs. To put it simply, she was a big girl with not much to flaunt. She never tried to attract others though, it wasn't in her best interest to focus all of her intentions on pleasing men, or even to have a life partner with one. Yes, the winged dunskin was still ever-present in her mind, and the way he made her feel that day in the Frozen Arch would likely never compare to anything else; and yet she still felt no need to try to impress or woo him.

They had met at happen stance, and he had chosen to stay with her, to attempt to enter her mind and break down those walls despite all the hard work she put into keeping them firmly up. He had been drawn in by her, and she couldn't help but like it, despite her screaming to keep away from the possibility of losing someone again, of being tossed aside or seen as a horror in the eyes of another. The last thought left a bitter sting, lingering teasingly, menacingly, before finally ebbing into nothing. Her mind returned to the world of simplistic emotions, expressionless gazes and ways of awkwardly socializing with others; like now. Despite her own insecurities and uncertainties, she knew one thing for certain; that she had a feeling this mare, however beautiful she was, was most likely a major bitch. With that in mind she didn't think to respond to her, to even acknowledge that she had made such a comment, because that would mean acknowledging any possible authority over her, which this grey vixen certainly didn't have. Taking a few steps past the maiden to the waterfall she embraced its cooling waters over her skull and neck, letting the torrent wash over her withers and seep into her bones like a tender massage.

It was in the roar that throbbed in her ears that she heard a question, one that sounded distant and muddle because of the water's intense grip over her, but it was still close enough for her to hear it. Taking a breath she let the falls assault her face momentarily, before breaking free from the wall and turning to face the witch. Her face had never once changed expression, only followed her body's movements as she had made her way through the waters. She had been attentive to the mare however, keeping her ears in her direction should she have any other bitchy things to say. This time it was a rather valid question, one she would be a bitch herself if she were not to answer. Snorting softly and finally feeling the heat begin to slip away from her thick bones she nodded, keeping intense eye contact the entire time," I am White December, a warrior here. Who are you?"
