AMPERE
the Mother of Companions

Ampere was practicing her aerial agility, twisting and turning on wings under the light of the Tallsun morning, trying to regain the fitness she'd lost during her pregnancy. The movements kept her focused and tired, two things she needed at the moment, an effort to keep her head clear and empty of thought, which in turn alleviated the burn that raged on in her heart for all the wounds it had sustained as of late. Each twist and turn in the wind was a delicate expulsion of energy, building muscle and sanity.

It was only on the end of a spin, flanks heaving as she tried to catch her breath, that Ampere even noticed Hector descending. She tilted her head, turning a blue eye to better watch him as he joined two other forms on the red border. Hector was more than capable of handling a stranger or two, but just in case... she dropped closer, leaning back once she was able to recognize Cera. The dark shape was still peculiar, the stranger she assumed, but with Hector and Cera, did they really need her? I should watch she thought, almost as an excuse. Hector had been one of the more stoic of her warriors, his reservations about her obvious. She needed to learn more about him, earn his trust, and he her's. No better time than the present she huffed, continuing her downward movement. Besides, Cera needed his ass kicked, something she could attend to once this border business was cleared up.

All of it would end up waiting though, because the closer Ampere got, the more familiar that black stranger was. "Mesec!" she called out before she'd even landed, her tones high with excitement, oblivious to whatever tension or hesitation ran between the group. As soon as her forehooves touched sand she broke into a run, slowing gradually as she closed the distance between them, but not by much as she ran to tuck the black boy into a hug beneath her neck... or maybe under his neck on second thought.

Breathless from her exercise and her energy, it was only after embracing him for a few heartbeats that she began to wonder why he was here. Remembering herself Ampere pulled away, though with reluctance and confusion. "Have you come to visit?" she asked. They're never really breached the topic about where he lived, but she assumed it was elsewhere, and that it was fine. On some level she knew the Moon was his mother - they'd all been together, the demigods and their parents, looming over that first body. She hadn't noticed it then though, too absorbed with the corpse and its meaning, but now Mesec was scratching at those hidden realizations, though she couldn't say it'd sway her feelings for him. "You must stay!" she said cheerily, excited to tell him her newest plans for their little group.
