z è k l è "But why, Ma?" was basically his slogan, a demand on repeat as Ampere hurried the boy along, ushering him toward the gigantic boat. "What's a boat? Where we goin'? Why're we goin'?" His voice rang out as they moved through the crowd, electric mare and her cripple son a pair bound by love and desperation. Sunbeam eyes inspected the boat, and the God, and everyone who was there, excitement beginning to bloom in his chest. He still had no idea what was going on, but at least other people were here, right? Maybe it was a contest! The boy fidgeted, peering through the crowds, careful to stay just close enough to Ma that he didn't get lost- that was a scary thought! "'S it a... a... a tour'ment, Ma?" Zèklè demanded absently, fairly confident his mother had no interest in answering. Ma was always so busy being awesome, and the boy had learned to figure things out on his own. He'd solve this mystery, too- especially if someone would just tell him what was going on! |
