A rattle in his lungs, and the dark mare, hiding the golden beneath coughs awake. A groan echoes through as those electric blue eyes awaken. Oh god he was bleeding. Nares dripped and slopped. Wait. Eyes focused and there licking his nose was Haldir’s dark face and white eyes. Snorting the dark proud head pulls away, but he can’t seem to chastise the babe. As much as he would like to, the door to such action seemed barred. Haldir didn’t seem to notice the position his bonded was in. Seeing his bonded come to life again the little fawn’s face burst into happiness and his little tail began to wag. The dark mare’s face for whatever reason breaks into a smile as well. Haldir’s large ears fall back and his face begins to turn away. The lightening mare grows concerned and that proud head lifts too. “Awh Shit” Harks fall back and electric blue eyes drop. Well this was pretty well fucked up now. Standing across the meadow was a dark blue electric mare. Ampere. Haldir’s face lights up at this. He was naïve to the consequences of this sighting. So instead of hiding he boldly steps forward and wags his tail as the mare heads over. The golden, hiding in this mare’s own skin is not so blissfully ignorant. Shaking the horn free head he lifts the short body up. The world still spun slightly but it wasn’t as harsh. The blue mare’s legs so strained until he realized the wings were still flopped lifelessly on the ground. Right, those go on the sides right? Picking them up, he looks through those electric blue eyes and-holy crap she’s almost here! Don’t panic, don’t panic. Maybe she’ll think it a mirage and go away. Shit she’s still coming. Damn it she’s not stopping. Haldir’s face fell slightly as the mare flew past him, but watched in happiness. The golden on the other hand, back pedaled, stepping back from the charging thing. “Eeeh- Ampere” Came the wobbled welcome. She’s not stopping! Now she was really on top of him. Hooves stumble as he backs. There was no way she was buying the reflection here. With such determination in her eyes the gold felt her hot breath scalding down his neck. Wings, so ill-advised and out of control began to flare out. Electric eyes glance about. Nothing was stopping her. Shit! “Alright! Ea-, easy!” A rough exhale and the magic begins to fall away, only without its usual grace. Rushed as it was, the dusting of dark color falls flat off. “There!” The golden gasps. Now finding himself backed up to the tree line. It was unthinkable to be found this early in his trials of the magic. He thought he had been careful, but clearly not enough. Near panting before this warrior bird it became painfully clear how near death this magic might be. If he was caught in the wrong skin at the wrong time, or was found out to be a liar, the results could be a little more than tricky. His mind hummed to the circlet atop his head, ready to call it out. Ready for the attack. The gold was never one though to go straight to the fists. “Let’s just….calm down…” Would he reveal his new little toy? If it would keep her from tearing into his flesh, then yes.
