Alysanne The pair were moving along quietly when a voice called out with a tentative greeting. Grasping at the chance for company, Alysanne’s mood instantly warmed up. Hemlock rustled his feathers apprehensively, unsure about who this mysterious voice belonged to. Was there a dragon involved? Would it be someone to upset Aly? But she ignored his apprehension - she didn’t care. Company was company and any distraction was certainly welcome. “Hi there!” Her voice was bright and enthusiastic, overcompensating for the turmoil in her heart. It just wouldn’t do to have anyone catch on that something was wrong, that she wasn’t her usually, blissful self. She could spy a chestnut coat through the trees but it wasn’t until she rounded a couple more that she spied exactly who it was. “Evangeline!” Quickly, the painted pegasus moved closer and stopped before the chestnut mare. They didn’t know each other well, these two - which was a shame. They had been living together in the same herd for two years now and really the only time Alysanne could think of where they had been in the same vicinity had been at herd meetings. Maybe today would be their chance to forge a new friendship? Alysanne’s manner was warm, a little too warm. She was trying to be calm to focus only on this chance encounter, the anticipation of getting to know the pretty mare before her a little better should be enough of a distraction. She knew she was thinking too much about everything, she was letting a simple decision get clouded by worry, and a vacation from those thoughts was most welcome. Hemlock, eyeing the head of the dragon that was resting on Evangeline, shifted in his spot between his own bonded’s ears. Why did everyone have to have a dragon? “It’s good to see you again, how have you been?” everybody heals with love |
