Well, Mesec wanted to get more involved with the Throat - didn’t he? He planned on volunteering for whatever task they might need an extra body for, throwing himself into whatever mix he could until he found out the best way he could be helpful for his new home. And the first task he volunteered for? A visit to his first home. After making quick introductions, the trio of Bucephalus, Amani, and Mesec left the Throat and carried their message to the Basin.

He was thankful for the company of Buce - or Pebbles, the black and gold stallion that he had searched for thought-stones with - his bright nature and the funny young companion he was paired with kept his heart light on their journey. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, maybe he wouldn’t see anyone that recognized him or that knew him. Or if he did - it was probably about time but! He was here on business.

He took the lead of their trio, although it had been close to two years since he had last been here, he still knew the way. The air noticeably cooled during their journey and when they landed, though Mesec was hot from the exercise, the Basin breeze was refreshing on his coat - Pebbles putting the feeling into words as he stepped forward to examine the mechanical horse that blocked their way. “Much cooler.” The demigod agreed quietly, distractedly, focused on the giant barring their way. This was new, wasn’t it? He would have remembered it from his childhood, probably would have been frightened of it. For now, though, he remained wary - careful to not stray too close, even lingering a little further back than Pebbles - feeling uncomfortable being this close to the Basin after so long, as though it could suck him back in and turn him into the intimidated and lost colt he had been when he first showed up here.
