Again, Bellisma found herself winding through trees in this new land, ‘Helovia.’ Though this time she was not madly fleeing, she was gracefully picking her way through the underbrush. And, this time, the trees seemed to be much thicker, taller, and generally larger. And growing larger with every step she took, causing the underbrush to become thinner and thinner until it was merely a thin carpet of leaves and pine needles. The sunlight struggled, and largely failed, to reach the forest floor here.

”Oh dear,” the tinkling bells of her voice carried tragically well in the ominous silence of the dark trees. She had been searching for the pool and falls near the entrance to Hidden Falls to soak and soothe the welts on her hide and wound on her leg. Though it seemed she took a wrong turn and instead ended up deep in the woods, leaving her new herdlands far behind. The little golden fairy could easily navigate monotonous, sandy wastelands of her home, but put her in a forest and she would unknowingly circle the same tree a thousand times.

Fear, always hovering at the edges of her mind, began to widen its hold. She faltered in her delicate steps, breath starting to come more quickly as her thin barrel moved rapidly. Her green eyes, now wide and dilating in panic, probed the darkness around her. The trees became tall, threatening figures; branches became angry clawed limbs.

Her mind began to shout, ’flee!’ as it always did. If there was anything out of the ordinary- a cloud, a bush, a butterfly- her body went into survival mode and tried to do what she did best: run. Though here she did not which direction to run (would she be running to or from the dangers?), and last time she fled through a forest she ended up worse for wear. So the lumps and aches stopped her from blindly galloping through the forest.

The foreboding air seeped into her veins causing tremors to travel through her thin coat. She kept at her slow walk, ears twitching with nerves. She nearly jumped out of her skin, all four hooves leaving the ground, as she heard a splash in an unseen, nearby pool. She stood stock-still, flanks heaving in fright, muscles straining against her golden coat as they ached to flee, but she knew did not know where to direct her incredible speed.

ooc| @[Déodat] Yay, I finally got this done! I figured this was an appropriate place for them to meet :)
Nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower; but only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf, so Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down day. Nothing gold can stay.
