Now please don't judge it on the execution, I can't draw for my life and don't have huge Photoshop skills. I got the main idea of a bay dun with barrings down, but I'm going to explain some of the additions. I'm going for a unisex design, but if you'd prefer a mare the design could be a little more feminized.

Main/Tail: I'm thinking long flowing tail and mane, wavy or not, but with accessories in it like feathers, beaded or wrapped hair pieces with trinkets at the bottom.
Antlers: Either the antlers could stay plain or you could have things like small skulls from rodents and such hanging from them. I'm thinking large majestic antlers.
Face: Could be painted on or just be unusual markings. I also chose blue eyes to set them apart from the earthly colored design, giving it a little piece of heaven as well.
Other accessories: On the design itself he/she has got a leather necklace with a small rodent skull with red painting, beads and feathers hanging down from the skull. Could be space inside to keep an amulet? This could be taken off or kept like it is.
