It would seem a great many from the Throat would travel to the Fields on this day. Perhaps it was the pull of the heavenly feel of it, the vicinity it put one to the Lord they all worshipped, however openly or obviously - they all lived in his realm, and so they all paid thanks to him in some way. The girl wandered not by the wings on her shoulders, but the limbs that stretched, long and slender, from her barrel. Granted, she did not spend the entire time on the ground - truthfully, she was following her new friend and brother, though his tracks were more than a few hours old. As she ascended up the mountainside of the Fields, she noticed the strange, thickening mist that dripped down from the Fields' lofty perch. It made the air taste different - it reminded her of the land she was born in, only there was no salt in the air. Her ears pricked, and she found herself sidling up to the silver-black form of Cathun, her lithe body rubbing itself along his barrel and shoulder, her left wing brushing against his spine as she breathed a greeting to him. But most of her attention was on what everyone else was watching - the wolf, who guarded a very precious package. Amaris had seen enough of them to know what it was. An egg, and within it - who knew? She had heard of a great many things hatching from their depths, and she knew vaguely of the bond generated between the - her magic allowed her to create similar with the spirits she called back from that otherplace. Listening carefully to the words the wolf spoke, and the responses given, the girl was in agreement with most of their assessments of the riddle. With a graceful nod, she awaited her turn to speak, and when she did, it was with soft, melodic tones. "Hooves can go through the doors, but your legs cannot." With a question behind her eyes she tilted her tiara, hoping she was right.
