S Y R E N A Others come. A depressing amount of others, all clamouring for attention from the pale wolf (how many of them were there in Helovia?) with the egg. Everyone repeated the same answer that Syrena had given, although she can’t really say that they were all copying her because she was not the first one to speak up. Perhaps she influenced one of them, though, that certainly seemed rather likely. The more that came, the more she shifted - careful to maintain a distance between all of them and herself. She loathed this, the socializing aspects that came with being a horse. Why did they all have to cluster so frequently? Could they not function as separate individuals? She had made her peace with the idea of staying in Helovia, for now, but she must rethink her decision to stay in the Falls. Plentiful of water or not, there was too high of a population there for her to truly relax when she wished. Always performing! It was invigorating at times and incredibly taxing at others. Thoughts of herself always calmed her down, and the sleek siren allowed such thoughts to entertain her while the rabble continued to show up and speak. Eventually, the she-wolf began to speak again - a swish of her tail removing the green doors and bringing forth other images for them that went along with this new riddle. None of it, none of it at all, made any sense. None of the lines matched up with each other, some were just downright ridiculous. At least the previous riddle had a common thread tying them all together! The more the wolf spoke, the more Syrena grew agitated. This was no riddle, this was a trick! “No.” Her answer came bluntly, dark eyes only for the wolf. She would not make the mistake of the foolish child and speak to the wolf with insolence, but she would not sugar coat her response. “I cannot guess the riddle, the clues are insufficient and unrelated to one another.” |
