Hector watched in fascination as the rings before him changed into a shade of purple. The Moon Goddess really had gone to a lot of trouble to set this race up for them, it would be enough to say the tribrid was fully enjoying himself. He swept above the trees of the Threshold, taking note of any change in the wind and mentally giving himself the task of catching the black and white steed who had rushed ahead of him. Installing a little more competitiveness into the joys of his race, Hector dipped and twisted through each loop with his leonine tail sleeking behind him.

He glided nearer to the treetops to get a better sight on the direction. South. The rings were turning grey as the scent of the Deep Forest became ever nearer. It's black depths overlapping the border from the Threshold, the wind was more haughty here. Like there was death in the air. Hector wrinkled his nose and powered his wings onwards, like an orange flash moving across the sky.

The border neared and soon Hector reached the air space above the Deep Forest.
