Soon the world would be grabbed in Frostfall and the flies would all but disappear from everywhere except the Throat and the beach. Einarr sighed some at that thought, feathered wings rustling some as the wind filtered through them.
In the distance, Einarr heard the rustling of feathers and the sound of hooves pulsing against the ground. The brute's dark head lifted on his thick neck. Sienna colored eyes narrowed some, honing in on the tribrid as she approached. Her canter did not seem aggressive, and she showed no signs of initiating a fight with him. Despite that, Einarr's wings lifted on his shoulders and his muscles tensed. His whole body puffed up by instinct, his warrior's mind telling him not to trust appearances. The girl was lanky and tall, but showed the promise of bulk to come. The white-marked stallion snorted, one cloven hoof scraping against the earth in a bull-like fashion. Ears twitched atop his crownless head as his mind whirled, gears turning as he watched her.
She did not speak as she slowed and, finally, stopped before him. He drank her in, eyes flicking and scanning over her body. She was oddly colored, and the horns and wings that mixed on her body were only reminiscent of a few Einarr knew. He knew Hector to have such an appearance, as well as the God of the Earth. No others in Helovia that the guardian had met held such traits. "What your name!?" The brute snorted, body squared before the tall filly. |
