But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
She moved with a delicacy that came with her frame. Her mind was continually chanting off prayers, trying to keep everything in line. She carefully continued to sweep the ash off to the side, out of the way. She wanted to clean this shrine, to better understand it, to allow it to be worthy of worship. Right now, they were hidden. They were broken. They were cracked. Almost… forgotten. How could the society seem to push it all aside?! Didn't they know how integral the Gods were to their lives? It had to have been the Gods who had kept her alive in Pompeii - and they had to be just as powerful here in Helovia. But when there was movement she didn't even hear it. So entranced in completing her work it was only when the new mare spoke that Laedere even registered the presence. She instantly snapped her wings back to her side, attempting to hide the gaping hole which she could only assume the other mare had seen at this point. She stutters for a moment, body spinning to it had shifted enough to face the other mare. Aye, she was not much taller than Laedere herself and Ardere was already interested in the wings by her ears. Finally, she managed to create words in response. "Why doth one not tend to thee shrines? Shan't it be of thine upmost importance for ye who claim to hail from Helovia?" It was almost blasphemous to the mare, that one shouldn't keep up with the shrines that were there. She could feel her body trembling a little in exasperation. The Gods deserved more than this. So sorry on how long this took ;-; Life ate me and I really only had time for Threshold. @[Maren] |
