The elephant’s brows raised at Mauja being referred to as “Queen.” He was surprised that the stallion had not been forthcoming with the information of his leadership in the herd. Frowning somewhat at the snowy stud, he then passed his eyes over his new herdmates- nodding his giant head in greeting to any he caught the gaze of. He noticed some hanging at the edges, while others joined in on the group.

He, himself, simply rested a hoof and waited for the hierarchy to make itself known. He wanted to know the order of command before drawing more attention to himself- for his size usually got enough attention. Though, among some of these studs, he was barely the largest. At the appearance of ‘Torleik,’ his new King, he dipped his head lower in greeting and recognition of his announcement of title. Though he watched a quiet exchange between the two leaders sharply, unsure if he saw tension or awkwardness of new leaders adjusting or a combination of the two.

He listened to the appointed healers, then entirely shifted his attention to the mare and foals. Ah but he had such a sad love of foals! He smiles, and drops his face as the mare approaches the hairy stud he was standing near. He does not speak- for it is not yet time for his words- but he nickers a soft hello, eyes warm and face smiling.

Then he listens to Torliek speak, raises his mammoth horned head once more, and finds a time to speak, “I am familiar and good with soldier work,” his low voice rumbled. He considered mentioning glasswork Mauja had mentioned, but decided against it. “Ah, and I am Tembovu,” he adds as an afterthought. His new king should, after all, at least know his name. Quietly, he continues to watch his new leaders closely, setting the inherent mistrust for those with power deep into his barrel, endeavoring to withhold judgment. Which was difficult, given the grouchiness this cold brought on.

There's a burning star to lead your father home,
He'll travel from afar, no matter where you roam.
Rest your angry heart, my darling, don't you cry,
Soon you'll see him come across the bending, bleeding sky.
