Midas was flying high overhead, wings beat calmly and with careless motion. The air over this land was chilling, the wind biting against his autumn pelt—he just wasn’t a huge fan of the cold in general; seeing that the majority of his life had been spent in the desert. Fiery orange ignited the horizon with a final breath of warming light, nothing but a sliver remanded visible. Limbs followed motion of beating appendages; the golden brute quickened his beats with urgency to get home. Foggy breath circled above his head. Mane rippled with each cool kiss of wind. He had just traveled to the shrine of his lord for worship and prayer, as he did every few weeks. Circling a large grey toned cloud; he angled down and cast a bored gaze across the tundra like landscape. Ice. Ice. Brownish shrub. Ice. Black. Wait. A striking figure caught attention, like a sore thumb the beast stood out from caking white permafrost. Midas knew of most creatures within this land, this one was unfamiliar. Trailing, orbs rose to further scan the area and locked onto another creature, Mauja, who appeared to watching the other. |
