 A silver form slipped across the Steppe. The dappled mare had entered the area in a dead run, though her body was exhausted from the race. She had not managed to win, even when racing was the very purpose she'd been bred for. The anger and resentment that had been building since her traumatic entrance into this land was at it's peak. Her normally cautious gaze was almost devoid of emotion now. Cold traces of snow and soil flew up in her wake. The girl careened on, not paying any attention to the ivory blanketed expanse or what lay within it. Ashen ears pricked above porcelain eyes at the sound of a voice in the distance. An ebony stallion loomed a few yards before her, dawning unique markings over his pelt. He was a Unicorn, only the second she'd ever seen. Yet, something was different about him. The lithe mare was able to slow herself to a walk, but something kept her moving closer to the stranger. Elaborate bursts of color painted the darkening sky as the normally wary maiden strode towards the black, some blind emotion pulling her in closer. Like a moth to a flame, she slipped closer until she was but a small reach from the stag. Her midnight locks fell as she bowed her head to the ethereal creature. She was at the mercy of the dark prince now. Sapphire pools did not see the other stallions, but only stared up into an obsidian face. |
