There was little that did not excite Azeen. She was a small, mostly white filly with spots of grey on her legs and a darker nose, as the hair thinned and showed her black skin. She had the dip in her nose that was customary to Arabians, giving her a strange appearance compared to most horses, particularly young ones. It was her blue eye that gave her the most excitable appearance, particularly since both blue and brown were very big. Being mostly white, she was usually spotted immediately. At the moment, however, she was crouched awkwardly beneath a bush, watching something very pretty. It was a butterfly. She hadn't seen one with such deep colors of blue and black, and the way the wings looked like felt, before. Mouth partially open, she gazed at it. Then something crashed through the brush, and both Azeen and the butterfly was startled. In the moment that Azeen turned to look and see what long-legged creature had caused such a commotion, the butterfly had flown off, and Azeen drew a heavy sigh. While she was wanting to wiggle her way out from the underbrush, a shadow made her duck instinctively. Being alone made her given to being in danger. While she was not wary of a young foal, she did not know what large, flying beast was here. She had heard there was more than just simple Pegasi. However, what she saw was another Pegasus. It was a female, by the looks of it, and she was very friendly, and so Azeen wiggled her way out of the brush. She tried standing once she thought she was clear, but a step forward revealed that she had a hind leg still tangled in a branch. After pulling too hard, her leg came free, and she rolled forward, clear for both the Pegasi to see. There she lay for a bit, huffing unhappily before looking up with her eyes, one brown, one blue. Then she smiled, forgetting about her own shortcomings for a moment. "Hi! Sorry to, uh, fall in." And she giggled. |
