The elephant, dripping in rivulets of blood from burns and crystal shatter, stared mutely as the sparking indigo mare raged at his King, his friend, and his dying owl. Her anger was clear, but seemed so irrelevant in the face of Mauja’s despair. Then his great bulk was pushed to the side by a dauntless mare filled with fire. He is surprised at how easily she moves both large stallions- himself and Mauja. Though, as he continues to watch her, he realized that she commands more than just her own might. She controls fiery sun magic.

The elephant moves further away to allow the healer to work- bringing him to the water’s edge. A glint of gold catches his eye in the newly cleared water- a golden chain? He is distracted- for Rexanna wears a chain such as this. He bends his great head to pick up the gleaming chain, letting it rest on his horn with the vial of blood.

“There is as much- if not more- bravery in facing the wounded of battle than the enemy, itself. Good on you, fire mare,” now a true grin lighted his face as he addressed the healer. Though it was wiped from hims face as the angry pegasus swore and started screeching once more, “Do you think screeching will help?” His rumbling voice was low, and the question was pointed, cutting through her wailing, “Were not this lovely mare’s-“ he motioned toward Tandavi with his horn-, “actions far more effective that your tirade?” But he felt that his questions fell on ears too angry to hear as she stormed away.

He moved to stand next to his King, close enough that their shoulders were almost touching, and looked down at the owl while the speckled steed nuzzled his owl. “I might move her for you, but I am not known for finesse,” he grimaced and half-chuckled.

His eyes glanced at the sparking, angry mare, “If only she would use turn her anger into something useful,” the mammoth gestured from the now-resting owl to Mauja, implying that a creature of flight would be more apt at moving another flighted creature.
