I sort of thought it was being in proximity with somebody else with the disease, too. But as Chan says, people are clustered around Erthe without effect.
I still think we should try touching a Riftian, as that seems the most likely solution. I'm away all of next week after tomorrow so won't be able to play around with interacting with people as much as I would like, but I may try and make a Vol x Crystarius thread tonight to see if that has any effect at all :O

Well Crystarius touched Vol, and nothing happened. Also he didn't catch the boils from Vol so maybe Rifties are immune? :o

SO Volterra has felt temporary respite
HERE. I didn't even tag RE in this thread as I really didn't think anything would happen :OO
Alls he's done is:
- Entered Deep Forest
- Spoke to Rikyn
- His dragon killed a squirrel then landed on his back to eat it
I can't see it being just the Deep Forest, as a few other boily folks have been there and nothing's happened to my knowledge. Could it be talking to Rikyn? MAYBE as he's AB and the Basin won the seasonal posting thingy to have less chance of getting infected? But that doesn't explain why Phi felt relief when Archi spoke to her, as he's not AB...
I'm thinking maybe the squirrel's blood? Which could hint that maybe Rifty blood is the cure? IDK :O

Rikyn also used dark/spark magic within the proximity of Volterra.
I really think its magic related. :3 Likely spark, as he was the God who pulled the Falls from the Rift.

There is the potential it is dark magic too, as there were two different kinds of dark magic used in the first round of the Moon fight before two instances of relief were noted.
Honestly I just think magic though because the Rift is magically ill. It would make sense the disease would be magic related.

The only thing that makes me think it wasn't magic is that Ophelia got the first 'temporary relief' RE post during the first bit of SWP when there was no fighting and no magic used. Unless there was and I missed it?
But yes it's worth a shot :D

Just chiming in here to agree with the whole magic thing! Rohan was cured when Enna used her Time Mender magic, a gift from the God of Time (spark, right?), but Resplendence's magic (from the Earth God) didn't work for Kaj.
So I think something with spark magic would make sense!

I think it may be Time as well as Spark magic! Ampere and Aithniel felt relief in the SWP thread, and Gaucho used his Fire x Time magic to help them. Ranjiri felt it too, and Ampere used spark magic near her. She also mentioned Megaera but I don't believe she has boils so it makes sense for just Ranjiri to feel relief.
It would make sense for it to be Time God magic (Time x Spark) as somebody said earlier, with him being the one to open the Rift :O Reli, was Rohan completely cured or did he feel relief?

This really actually makes sense. :o If someone's in a position to try it out again for certain that would be great. The only one I have with any kind of time magic is Lace with his sun bombs, and you don't really want to be hit by those >.>
