My hooves touched the ground and I winced as I folded my wings against my sides but I tried to hide it as I looked around the gathering. It was the first time I'd really flown since my wing had been injured during the first god fight and it didn't feel good. It was sore and throbbed in protest to how far I'd pushed myself. I saw Destrier and his dragons and I smiled. "Hello, Destrier." I called over to the stallion. I would have gone and stood by him, but I saw Gaucho and, naturally, I was drawn to him. "Gaucho." I murmured as I came to stand next to him, my muzzle reaching to touch his shoulder, should he allow it.
But there was someone there that silently commanded more attention than anyone else. The God of the Sun. The patron god of the land that I called home. I couldn't help but get that sinking feeling in my stomach, especially when I saw those strange horses much like the ones that came across in the Time God and moon Goddess' land. So... that had to mean that there was going to be another battle, right? Didn't history repeat itself? So what was it going to be this time? A lion? A giant snake? I frowned and I looked around, expecting to see something sneaking up on all of us, but all I saw was the growing crowd.
Megaera was there as well and I tried to catch her gaze to communicate with her what I was thinking; that it was too quiet. That I had this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. That we were in for another fight, much like the ones before.
I just hoped that my bad feeling was wrong and the Sun God was the one god that could do something right.
