He reassured their minds by his serenity.
His countenance, wherein his soul was visible,
expressed contempt for danger.
Eliana, the beautiful Roc Zephyr, spies them first. Her keen silver eyes instantly recognizing the black streaking the mare's face. For a moment, she hesitates. For a moment, she thinks about ignoring it and moving on - pulling Miykael away from the sick before he could get much worse. But not even she was so cold. Not even she could leave the sick to suffer. Perhaps it was her connection to the selfless healer or perhaps she simply wasn't as cold hearted as she sometimes wants to be. The night dark bird swoops past the pair, sensing a growing tension in the air around them, and heads back to the healer.
Miykael had just finished healing the small alabaster filly when his companion landed upon his shoulders with the familiar pin-prick of her talons on his skin. 'More sick.' she says, almost hesitantly, through their bond. The healer nods lightly due to the pain in his head that just didn't seem to go away but he doesn't speak. He doesn't need to speak for Eliana to understand and so the night bird takes off, flying from his back and leading the way to the sick. Miykael watches her carefully with his blue eyes as he walks slowly behind her, squinting against the brightness of this new land. She circles wide around a pair - one of which he'd seen before in the threshold - before flying back to stand on his withers once more.
The healer approaches carefully, with his wings folded carefully at his sides. Miykael does his best to appear nonthreatening, while retaining his confidence in the cure. The stallion, he remembers, holds an immunity to the particular disease staining the lovely mare's face. He attempts to meet the man's gaze to offer him a respectful nod in greeting before moving closer to the mare. The tension between them is palpable, so much so that he remains silent. Instead, he simply summons his light, feels it and directs it towards the golden mare's chest. It expands and grows, attempting to fill her chest and lungs with its' warm and soothing comfort. For several moments it lingers, his concentration fully on curing the mare of her ailments before letting it go and feeling it fade until it disappeared. "How do you feel?" he asks her, watching her expectantly with a soft, barely visible smile curling his lips. Once more the use of his magic harmed him, momentarily intensifying the headache though he hides it well.
