It had been awhile since the boy had played on the beach for if he had he would have remembered that sand made him itchy when it got everywhere. It must have been earlier when he had laid down in one of the shallow pools to cool himself off..the sand had worked its way into his coat and feathers and mane and tail. It felt like ants had somehow crawled up overtop of you and now were biting at his exposed skin. There was even sand in places that there should never be sand in. Shaking his body a plume of dust appeared all around him for a brief second before the wind carried it away to drop it back where it belonged. While it had proved worthwhile at the time that fun in the water had now become his biggest regret of the day. As he approached the white girl the first strange thing he noticed was how she barely even seemed to pay attention to him. Was he not interesting enough? Or did she just really not want to talk to him? Shrugging he tried not to think about it as he waited for some kind of acknowledgement as to if she had heard him or not.

Feeling a little awkward the colt was half contemplating poking her shoulder with something to make sure she was actually alive and not just some creepy zombie. Mother had told him stories about zombies but he couldn't figure out if they were real or not, well guess he could find out. Now the only problem was that there were no sticks around anywhere, or any trees, or plants.. now what was he going to use? As his scan of the area turned up nothing he let the idea slide away to be tested at a later date. Sighing softly the boy turned his head back to the filly to find her actually looking at him! Well guess she wasn't no zombie after all, either that or she was contemplating trying to eat him. If she tried to bite him he would know not to stick around for long to find out, did zombies even eat people? In less time than it took her to look over at him she turned her head back to staring off into space.

His ears perked immediately when a feminine tone finally spoke only to say only two words. Well... was she going to tell him how to get out of here or not? Why were girls so confusing and scary at times? The next word made him jump thinking he had done something wrong as the placid tone turned to one of rage. "What? I didn't....?" Stopping his sentence he looked over to see that the filly was still staring at something, but what? Perhaps it was one of those illusions, he had seen plenty of them over the last few hours. Moving over a little closer to the girl, making sure not to touch her, he lifted his head to stare in the relative direction she was. At first he did not see anything but as his eyes adjusted to the glare of the land a shadowy thing kinda appeared quite a ways away. Dark blobs seemed to be flying around it piquing his interest as to what it could be. "What is it? He asked with great care not wanting her to try and eat him. Something had made her angry but if it wasn't him... what was it?
