The horned beast was biding her time, descending slowly into the field full of green grass. It was a Tallsun morning, which meant that the little animals were returning to their burrows after a busy night of foraging. Calista paused to watch as the critters raced excitedly around the area. She liked to believe that she was very observant for her age, her lilac eyes carefully examining anything and everything that graced their gaze. She had good manners and a intelligent edge to her voice. The young unicorn enjoyed the little details in life, when she was able to focus on them. For example, the way that the grass moved and waved in the soft morning breeze, or how the noisy wood peckers searched for a tasty insect in the bark of the trees, or how the soon to be mother doe wattled around plump with fawn. Her dainty ears pricked forward at the sound of running water. She took off in a slow trot, her Arabian traits showing profoundly in the way she carried herself; her snow-colored tail flagged and flowing behind her, her small ears pricked and her neck arched slightly. Calista reached a small creek, which she saw trickled into a clear pond. Dipping her small dished head, the lady took small sips of the cool water. She relished the feeling of the cool liquid running down her throat and hydrating her body after a long journey. After several minutes she finished her drink, and resumed going about her way. Calista couldn't help but wonder to herself. Would she belong anywhere with anybody? Where did she think she was going in the first place? Every inch of this place was unfamiliar.

Calista had only taken several more steps  when she spotted the strange mare, shattering the lonely desolation that had infected the air. She showed no malice though; no creature deserved unfair assumptions. She was open to anyone that approached her, so long as they posed no imminent threat. A radiant smile lit her features as her body shifted to face the gray unicorn. Her orbs sparkled with delight at the prospect of making a new acquaintance. Maybe this unicorn would be of use to her.

With care, and as subtly as possible, she studied the woman. The two mares were about the same size, with sharp golden horns. Her body was gray, with a small mark on the side of her neck. Pale silken gossamer strands created a lush curtain of hair that draped across the lady's neck and down the crown of her head. One thing that could not be missed was her belly, round and in-foal. It was not difficult for Calista to see. She felt assured by this that the equine was no threat.

She listened to Eden's gentle voice as the mare introduced herself, reverberating in her body and mind making it slightly hazy. Her lilac blue eyes watched Eden's lips moved as she spoke to her, waiting until all the speaking was done before she opened her own mouth and words spewed out. "My intentions are that of pure and innocent traveling, nothing troublesome, I assure you. My name is Calista. Are you from around here?" The tobiano's voice carried to the other unicorn's, her cordial blue eyes making soft contact.
