Of course she was winning. Looking back over her shoulder the girl’s sea blue eyes could not see hide or hair of the man in grey. A laughter of sweet joy rang through the air as she bucked, kicking up her heels in her victory. Heart pounded in her chest and lungs burned for breathe, but what a wonderful sensation, to feel the solid earth under her hooves, and take the speed tour of this new land.

The wind about her whipped dangerously, pushing palms to their limits, but the girl never knew a difference. While the wind brushed over her smooth and quick at her pace, it was still as light and playful as ever. She had slowed, hoping to give the poor old guard a chance, but when she looked back there still was no sign. The delicate head twists as she slows to a stop. Strange, Virgil of all of the usual competitors rarely gave up. The lightening begins to crack closer, but the child still takes little notice of the danger as she waits for the coming guard. Still he does not come.

With an exasperated sigh the girl only shakes her head in a smile. He must have gotten himself lost. Silly stallion. The thought of the storm or dangers of this strange place snatching him never crossed her mind. Not even when she came face to face with it herself.

As she stepped forward, a gust blew up from behind, overpowering even her own magic. Stopping again the girl marvels as it takes the vines about the trees, twirling them. But of course her attention is not held for long. Another blast of air rushes through and shoves her back. A short cry of surprise she lets sound but its delicate, and naïve all the same. Wings brace out but find themselves only caught up in wind she can’t control as it begins to spin about her. But never does the child fear. Her mind was still caught in the wonder that was this strange wind, with its forces she had never before felt. It pushes and shoves her back, and she obliges, at last turning around.

The surface shivers, and trembles on the portal. Her instant excitement is smothered by her confusion. But there was little time for that. Another blast of wind rushes from behind and from within, pulling the girl through.

---------------

With careful steps the child at last steps through the portal. When she steps through she’s a gorgeous sight. Unlike the others the portal amazes her, and when she comes through her confusion is left behind as the wonder takes hold. She steps through with all the grace and natural ease her hereditary mannerisms granted her, and her smile and bright eyes putting a wondering child’s to shame. Now, if that place was fun, what was THIS place?

Most of all WHO was in this place? For a moment she is paused upon the wooden bridge, as her eyes roam across the growing crowd. Some were guards (equines), and others like she, but then some were like guards with weapons, and colors, and pets, and accents, and just so much. Her mind was simply overcome before a low rumbling voice, which echoed warmth deep within her chest, speaks. A smile more sincere and warm rises in her chest to feel it, and when she looks to him she can only smile more. He was amazing. Massive, like no creature she’d ever seen. At last her legs move her from the bridge, with wings tucked ever gracefully beside, and she comes closer to the great creature to wonder.

Even as her hoof steps from the bridge her life is changed forever, for a sound is heard above her and as she turns to look, a shadow passes overhead. A flying horse. The child, were it not for the manners and grace pounded into her would have dropped her mouth. In elegance matching her own (how did she know any better), a creature same as she flew down. She was falling, oh no. The white creature landed with control and care. Shaking her chiseled features the child can only watch in quiet wonder. A low murmur of voices began to rise, as others began to talk, and the girl found herself in the strangest of situations. She was standing, her wings tucked and regal head high, to the side, alone, and quiet. Curled ears move all around, and her tasseled tail twitches at her side. If you asked her if she was nervous she would of course bark back no, but the wind at her back at gotten tense. For once in her life the girl was frozen on the fringes.

But she was never able to stay their long. A large creature, (Dragomir) who’s voice rang warm as the massive being speaks, and the girl instantly moves toward him. As she moves closer her trained mannerism, smooth her exterior, and the gentle sea breeze blows against her face. After all this seemed to be a more formal gathering right? What would her father say if in this new land she acted a fool before them. Inside though her heart is all a flutter, pounding rapidly in her chest as she struggled to think of what to say. Hello? No. Afternoon? No. Greetings? Oh come on. She passed a few others and it took all she had not to turn to stare upon them, especially those with wings that flew. Finally she was at the creature’s side, but her charm never failed her.

He is turned away from her at the moment, he features contorted in a snarl, but the child had little sense of fear from others. After all, her hide held such few mars from the wickedness of dark hearts, how could she know they existed. “Excuse me?” Her warm voice carries softly at first, but her warm smile did its best to mimic the massive being’s which had made her feel such wonder calm. “Are you of this Helovia?” Her tongue spoke it strangely, but the flow came as smooth as the waves. Her breath held as she wait, pinning in her chest that thought of someone new speaking to her. Someone she had never met. Feathers shivered by her sides in the excitement, and her racing heart betrayed by the bright, sparkling sea blue eyes.

OOC:: She is steps through the portal and pauses a moment, taking it all in. But then moves to stand at the edge. At last her excitement gets the best of her and she goes to try and talk to Dragomir.
