Alysanne Islands! Since when had there been islands there? Alysanne had taken a trip out of the Edge to stretch her legs and she had wandered farther than she had intended - perhaps she might have even wandered right out of Helovia. A foolish part of her was hoping to run into Voodoo, as she hoped every time she travelled south, but it seemed that today she was finding something quite different. With Hemlock upon her brow like a crown, she stood on the coast looking across the water. Others were crossing, and it only took a moment before deciding there was nothing for it - she’d just swim right over there. “But you can fly.” Hemlock pointed out with aggravation. “You know full well it’s been a long time since I have. The swim will be… refreshing.” Her wings spread but just slightly and she slid across the water with grace that she never could possess in the air. The swim was not easy, certainly, but she welcomed the pain in her legs and the exhaustion she knew she would feel later. Her thaw was almost complete, her body enjoying the excursion today. As she approached, Alysanne noticed just how many others were making the swim - and others still coming from the air. They all seemed to be moving in the same direction so, after she emerged from the water and shook her self free of as much water as possible, she followed them. Rumours had reached her of new lands, of the Gods welcoming strange creatures from another world into Helovia. Was this such a land? It was so odd that islands would be where she was certain there had been none before. She recognized a good many of the faces there - former and current friends and herd mates. Unwilling for reunions with those that had moved into the Falls after the invasion, Alysanne carefully skirted the crowd until she found a familiar face that did not fill her with dread - Lena. A small whicker served as her greeting to the brown unicorn and Hemlock hooted quietly to Imogen, before the pair fell quiet to survey the group and try to figure out what was happening. everybody heals with love |
