Another new world seemed to appear out of nowhere. For a land she had explored little of, Ki'irha couldn't help but marvel at how far the land seemed to sprawl. And as it continued to grow, she wondered of its true potential.
It was hot here. The air was thick with humidity, and the wetness seemed to cling to her coat, making her feel weighted. If there was something the star girl hated, it was humidity. But the coolness off the water that surrounded the band of islands wicked some of the warmth off her midnight pelt, and for that she was thankful. Still, she considered turning around and retreating through through the unknown world back to the cold shelter of her Basin.
Her return trip was cut short, however, as she came upon a gathering. She snorted, ears flicking back. The last meeting she had seen in a new land had ended up becoming a vicious battle against a great crocodile. But, she was a glutton for punishment, so she diverted her trail and trotted over. A great looming stallion seemed to draw attention of the herd. Perhaps he was a god, as had been the case with the flaming buck she had seen on the Flats. There was something gentle about this one, he seemed cool and steady compared to the unbridled fire of the sun god. She found herself attracted towards him, long legs drawn to carry her closer, awe making her heart flutter.
But, as the last helovian god had, he allowed the air to open, and from it strangers emerged. These newcomers seemed to bring nothing but war and disease. Why were they being welcomed so warmly? She turned to face the portal, silver eyes narrowing. The gods were all knowing, at least the corporal assumed so, but doubt still edged her thoughts. One by one they came, and she watched attentively. Her tail flicked anxiously near a rear clove as her mind wandered through all the scenarios that could take this event from a peaceful gathering to a chaotic mass. An uneasiness settled into her bones as she looked on, wondering what these beasts would bring with them from the void.
