"Any existence deprived of freedom is a kind of death" -- Michel Aoun

Isopia seemed to be quiet with thought, Ampere noticed as silence filled the space between them. It couldn't have been long, but it felt like an eternity as Ampere waited on an answer. The proud, normally rather independent mare was not accustomed to putting so much faith or need in others, but she was learning more with time a group was necessary to achieve monumental things, just as an ant colony worked to build their hill - one ant could not possibly accomplish it in their lifetime.

The two words that left Isopia's mouth brought a fragile smile to Ampere's lips, but fragile, because she wasn't sure if the girl was affirming that she could craft stone, or that she would craft stone. Unnecessarily the scholarly child demonstrated her ability, drawing Ampere's gaze with a flick of blue, like an old light turning on. Still it was nice to have Cloak's words affirmed and if nothing else Isopia demonstrated she didn't just move earth, but created beauty with it. The shape, whatever it was (Ampere was not as familiar with the Edge), was certainly skillfully crafted. Ampere uttered a low whistle of admiration in response.

The brightening features of Ampere fell into deep consideration and anxious frustration however when Isopia next spoke. "What of those ruins int he Rotunda?" Ampere asked challengingly, the blue of her gaze hard and defiant, but it wasn't Isopia she took to oppose, just the land itself. Yet Thunderhead knew there were many things in Helovia that could not be explained, and daughter of the Earth she was, did not mean she knew all the secrets either - at least not yet.

Resigning with a soft sigh and a shuffle of her wings, Ampere offered instead, "The Throat perhaps?" It wasn't exactly her land to decide over, not that the Wilds were either, but no one minded if they were changed. Could she explain a strange statue to Gaucho (Megaera was part of the group, she would understand)? Would she have to? Probably Ampere thought sullenly, knowing all too well how the Wildfire responded to supposed threats, and how anyone responded to strange things they didn't know. Yet what could she say?

Well, no use wasting time on wondering that now if she hadn't even gotten a builder for it yet. Returning her focus to Isopia Ampere expanded on the idea, if only to comfort herself. "On the thin side of the border still connected to the mainland, so it'd be accessible. The sea and the wind and the heat are usually not kind to structures (only metal seemed to endure) but it'd be close enough to be watched at least."
