Arya is quiet listening to the elphant speak. Truly the affection the creature holds towards the tiny egg, even as the elphant explains her inability to bond. The huntress is quiet, pondering the words that are being spoken by others around as they speak of motherly love... She is not a mother.. She isn't a particularly maternal individual either. Arya of course loves as deeply as any could, but, she knows in her heart this egg would not be her child but her friend, her equal. Of course, she knows it'd be dependent on her for a time.. Déodat had always explained that rather well to her when she was young. Companions are beings of their own, living breathing things that deserve respect.. Both of the mares that speak before her are clearly her seniors. The huntress doesn't seek someone to view as an offspring.. So she waits her turn, she waits for the silence to hang in the air before she starts saying her own piece. "I'm not a mother.. I cannot fathom the depth of this love, for I have only ever been on the receiving end." Her tone is even and she flicks her tail. "I have seen the beauty of the bond in both my parents.. I've seen the intimacy shared between a bonded pair and I want to understand it.. I want to have that sense of companionship.. I want someone to share this immortal life with me. I want someone who can comprehend my thoughts and my entire being.. I want someone ot be my friend, confidant so I can be the same for them." She closes her eyes and gives out a long sigh. "I want someone to share my life with." |
